OK! Yesterday I reported that JD had his grand opening launch party for his STUDIO 72 in Atlanta…some of the invited guest (that can be seen in yesterday’s red carpet pictures) were Nelly, Monica, Usher, etc. Well, Miss Crystal from Flava of Love 2 and Charm School made a guest appearance (like she is somebody). My spies who attended the party told me that NELLY and CRYSTAL became very “close” in the VIP area.
Lil’ Kim was pulled over by police at 11th Avenue and 51st Street when she was seen driving a black Lamborghini without license plates. Police said the rapper told them the car was a gift from someone in California which was delivered today on a flatbed truck. (more…)
Usher Raymond and pregnant wife Tameka Foster are planning an official wedding ceremony this weekend in Atlanta. As previously mentioned in the scoop, the gathering at the Hamptons home of record exec L.A. Reid was canceled at the last minute on July 28 in favor of a small private gathering days later on August 3. Guests are rumored to be Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, Ashanti, and Diddy. We hear that Raymond, 28, and Foster, 36, are holding the party in Atlanta so that their close relatives and friends can attend.

An Arizona man arrested in July for trying to extort $1 million from Tom Cruise has agreed to enter into a plea agreement in the case. He will plead guilty to transmitting threatening communications with the intent to extort, which could lead to his serving up to two years in prison, a year of supervised release and a fine, EXTRA TV show reports.

Tennis superstar Serena Williams, currently moving through the U.S. Open in New York, has launched her new ad campaign for Hewlett-Packard, dubbed “The Computer Is Personal Again.” [See ad below.] The commercial features Williams explaining how HP PCs have made her hectic life easier as she whips through various images from her computer hard drive.
