Lil’ Wayne announced the return of the original Hot Boy$ group featuring Juvenile, Lil’ Wayne, Turk and B.G. The group’s last release was in 2003. The former group  have battled each other on and off record over the past several years. Lil’ Wayne is the only member of the group signed to Cash Money Records. No official announcement on the return of the group has been made by Cash Money.

Jeezy isn’ to happy about Keisha Cole’s interview with Essence Magazine. As previously reported, Keisha Cole implied that she denied a proposal by someone and the article directed the attention to it being Jeezy. This is what Jeezy had to say about it:

Interviewer: So what’s your take on Keisha Cole’s article in Essence Magazine?

Young Jeezy: Aww man, ya know, I guess it’s publicity season everybody trying to sell records. Can’t knock her for that but I ain’t really tripping because that don’t pertain to me. She can’t obviously be talking about me. It’s publicity season, everybody’s doing what they do, so I guess that’s what that is.

Snoop Dogg was reportedly sentenced to three years probation and 160 hours of community service yesterday (September 20) after pleading guilty to felony possession of a dangerous weapon.  Snoop’s lawyer, Donald Etra, struck a plea deal which kept Snoop out of jail and his felony conviction will be reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays out of trouble. The New York Daily News  reports that Jennifer Lopez and her mother, Guadalupe are no longer close nor speaking. The newspaper says one of its reporters approached Guadalupe at her home in Westchester to check on rumors that the actress and husband Marc Anthony are finally expecting a baby after years of trying.

Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett continues to shock doctors with his steady improvement following a life-threatening spinal cord injury. The NFL player returned to his native Texas on Friday to begin the second phase of his recovery closer to his family. Accompanied by his mother and girlfriend, Everett was transferred by private plane from Buffalo to Houston’s Memorial Hermann hospital, which provides medical rehabilitation for patients of catastrophic trauma such as brain or spinal cord injuries. DJ Kay Slay announced that his artist and protégé Papoose has been released from his contract with Jive Records during his Streetsweeper’s Radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio last night. Slay called the one-year term that Pap was signed to the label “a year of hell” and expressed his distaste for the A&R of the company. The Brooklyn MC’s contract with Jive was reported to be worth $1.5 million.
