While they may not be singing together, former Destiny’s Child members Beyonce and Kelly Rowland have reunited — to open an apartment building for at risk populations in Houston. The Knowles-Rowland Temenos Place Apartments will be a 43 unit, single room occupancy housing facility for men and women who are taking steps to improve their lives, after traumatic events of both natural and personal disasters.

ESPN’s NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith will move his daily New York radio show on 1050 ESPN from noon-2 to the 2-4 p.m. slot, with the final hour available nationwide on ESPN Radio.  ”I’m elated for this tremendous opportunity and I appreciate the faith ESPN has shown in me,” Smith said in a release. “New York listeners and NBA fans have gotten a taste of my no-holds-barred mentality, and now the rest of the country is about to find out as well.”

Jay-Z  will be coming out with his tenth solo album titled “American Gangster,” which is inspired by the upcoming flick of the same name starring Oscar Award winner Denzel Washington. According to The New York Times, Jay-Z has revealed that the movie mirrored his drug dealing past and he has already crafted nine songs which are inspired by specific scenes in the movie. “It was like I was watching the film, and putting it on pause, and giving a back story to the story,” Jay-Z said. “Watching that film, it brought back all these memories. It took me back to those emotions.” Hov’s album will not be a sountrack to the movie. The trailer for American Gangster already features Jay-Z’s song “Heart Of The City,” off his album The Blueprint. American Gangster, the movie, will open in theatres on November 2 while Jay-Z’s project of the same name drops on November 6.
