LL Cool J seems to have changed his mind and claims he wants to make amends with Def Jam and Jigga. LL recently told The New York Magazine that he is willing to talk things out with Jay-Z and Def Jam.“We need to meet and figure it out,” LL said.
“It’s tough.  Let’s be real.  You know, they have an artist [Jay-Z] running a label full of artists.  Okay?  That’s like Calvin Klein running a fashion label and Varvatos and everyone else is underneath him.” “What kind of sense does that make?  This hierarchy?  It doesn’t work for me,” he continued.  “I’m going to approach [the meeting with Jay-Z] from a positive, optimistic viewpoint.  Hopefully it will work.”After his last album flopped, LL blamed Def Jam for not giving his project the same kind of promotion that Jay-Z received.  Things seemed to be headed to a boiling point when LL revealed to Block TV last week that he wasn’t pleased with Jay-Z’s line on 50’s  “Get Money “ (remix).  On the track , Jay-Z rhymed , “I’m already the G.O.A.T, next stop is the Billy” Throughout his lengthy  career , LL has referred to himself as the G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time)  “I love the competition.  I’m about to smack some cats here soon,” LL told Blok TV. “They’re talking a little reckless out there.  They done stepped in…  got themselves in trouble.” Day’s later , Jay would deny taking shots at LL saying: “I wasn’t thinking about him.  I’m being very honest.  I really believe myself to be the greatest of all time.  I was just trying to have a slick line.  I just thought it was a fun play on words.”
