Reuters reports that Missy Elliot will be releasing her seventh solo album this May. The album is currently untitled. Missy, who opted not to work with her longtime partner in crime, Timbaland, on her last album, will reunite on this new project (thank goodness). Two of Missy’s singles will appear on the soundtrack to the dance flick Step Up 2 which hits theatres next month.

Rumor has it that producer Andre “Dre” Christopher Lyon is shopping for an engagement ring for his longtime girlfriend, Christina Milian. A New York jeweler reveals that Dre was in town looking for “exquisite” pink diamonds for an engagement ring for Christina. The jeweler says “All of the stones he was interested in were priced over $50K.” WOW!

Sean Combs who is 38 years old, has changed his name five times in his career which officially began in 2008. Combs has previously been nicknamed Puff Daddy, Puff, Puffy, P. Diddy and Diddy. Combs says he is ready “for a new identity”…He says, “I have always evolved and taken a different name each time. It’s nothing unusual where I come from. Right now I want to be Sean John because that’s where I am.”
