Detroit’s one time “Hip-Hop Mayor, ” Kwame Kilpatrick, last night asked his city and family for forgiveness in a televised speech. Even though a prosecutor is investigating whether Kilpatrick, 37, and former chief of staff Christine Beatty lied under oath during a whistle-blower’s lawsuit last summer in which both denied having a physical relationship, he vowed to not leave his post as mayor.
Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty denied in August testimony that they had a sexual relationship. But a series of text messages shows they engaged in repeated romantic escapades.

I think PR folks tell them to do that, go out and make this big Im sorry story after getting busted for anything. He is cute.. Why did he have to make this pathetic, scripted and rehearsed public apology from his church, with no audience or reporters present to question him? He didn’t want anyone challenging what was said is what I feel. Now his latest is that he’s on a mission from God! Somebody stop him….please!
