A California Assembly woman is sponsoring new legislation that would require all patients receiving elective plastic surgery to receive clearance from a licensed doctor. On behalf of Kanye West’s family and pursuant to the death of the late Donda West, the proposed “Donda West Law” would allow doctors to ensure that patients undergoing plastic surgery are healthy and in good medical condition endure the potential complications of general anesthesia.

Jill Scott explains that her chest area is both a blessing and a curse. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Jill explains “I have large breasts,” I’ve been blessed with them, and I need something that can support (them).” Singer/Actress said she tried everything from custom made bras to wearing two bras at a time, but nothing gives her that “support” she needs. Her solution? The new “Butterfly” bra for plus-size store Ashley Stewart. The bra which Ashley Stewart says is “inspired” by Scott, puts additional fabric and support on the back of the bra rather than on the shoulder straps. “I got tired of the hurting shoulders — that’s not nice,” said Scott. Jennifer Lopez will be getting a special gift from her ex boyfriend, Diddy. Sean “Diddy” Combs said he plans to make sure his ex’s babies have a generous supply of clothing from his own clothing line.
“I’m going to send her some Sean John baby clothes,” Diddy told People magazine on the Oscar red carpet Sunday. “I’m so happy for her. It’s such a blessing. [She] is going to make a great mother.” (more…)
MUSIC WRITER/ARTIST/PRODUCER “STATIC MAJOR” PASSES AWAY

Music writer/artist/producer Stephen “Static/Major” Garrett died unexpectedly this past Monday in his hometown of Louisville, KY. Static was a member of the group R&B Group “Playa”. He began his musical career under the tutelage of Jodeci’s DeVante Swing, and formed kinships with fellow members of DeVante’s Swing Mob such as Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and Ginuwine. Although no autopsy has been performed, reporters say he may have died from a brain aneurysm. So Sad.
Static, whose real name is Stephen Garret was a very talented producer who worked with the likes of artists such as Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Destiny’s Child, Brandy, and JoJo. Static’s most highly recognized work was for Aaliyah, whose single “Try Again” from the 2000 film Romeo Must Die. The single rose to number 1 on the charts. He recently worked with Pretty Ricky, Diddy for “Tell Me”, Brandy, and many other artist… (more…)

JAMIE Foxx, Oscar-winner for the film Ray, has started working with former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson on his a biopic of his rollercoaster life and career. Tyson said:
“Jamie Foxx and I will be working together. He will play me in the film about my life. We have already had several discussions about it…..Even when I was training for a fight I would drink. This is the first time I have been clean and sober in my whole life.” (more…)

Paris Hilton may end up being Nicole Richie’s sister-in-law. Rumor has it that Paris is dating the newly single Good Charlotte guitarist, Benji Madden. Benji is the twin brother of Nicole Richie’s fiancee and baby daddy. Benji Madden recently split from his actress fiancee, Sophie Monk, and is now on the rebound with Ms. Paris Hilton. Rumors continue relative to Jay-Z’s still-unconfirmed new record label, Carter Music Group. We hear that Hov is partnering with rapper Nas on an album of duets, “The Kings of Hip Hop,” to be released on the label early next year. Representatives for Jay-Z remain tight-lipped about the contemplated project.

VH1′S THE TRACK WITH FLAVOR FLAV: Calling All Producers!

Flavor Flav and VH1 are partnering up to find an aspiring producer to help create Flav’s new single. The competition, entitled “VH1’s The Track with Flavor Flav,” launched on February 20 on flavorffloveworld.com. To enter, participants must submit an original audio composition without vocals between now and March 13. Flav will select three finalists who will go up against each other in an online poll. (more…)
