Rapper Young Jeezy will grant the winner of his “Make Your Dreams Come True” contest this evening (February 26) at Justin’s Restaurant in his hometown of Atlanta. Jeezy’s contest invited fans to share their dreams and aspirations. The winner would have a chance to have a wish granted by Young Jeezy himself. The lucky winner is Tamara Jenkins-Wilson from North Carolina, who wrote the rapper about her disabled 13-year-old son. “My ultimate dream would be for me to provide a Wheelchair Accessible Van for my son, Davon Jenkins. Davon is 13-years-old and has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair.” (more…)
Sean Combs, who plays the role of Walter Lee, Jr. which brought him acclaim, stars in the highly anticipated, special three-hour television movie adaptation from Sony Pictures Television of “A Raisin in the Sun,” along with the cast of the award-winning Broadway revival who recreate their roles for the new film, including Emmy and Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad, four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Tony Award nominee Sanaa Lathan, plus “ER” star John Stamos. Based on Lorraine Hansberry’s play that inspired a generation, “A Raisin in the Sun” will air as an “ABC World Premiere Movie Event,” TODAY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on ABC.

NFL star Bryant McKinnie was arrested for aggravated battery after a street brawl outside a nightclub early Sunday. The Viking tackle was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence, according to a police report. Police officials were called to Club Space after a fight broke out. McKinnie had been thrown out by a nightclub security guard and was arguing and spit on an Eric Otero, according to a police report. Otero, said he wouldn’t press charges if McKinnie left, however the former University of Miami player went to a nearby strip club, but later returned to Club Space and fought with Otero again. Quincy Jones showed up to the Oscars last night with his damn near teenager girlfriend. Heba Elawadi, whom Quincy began dating when she was 19, is now a WHOPPING 20 years of age. Q was happy to show off his new chick on the red carpet. Its must be the Viagra!

J. Holiday was arrested for the possession of drugs in Salisbury, Maryland. According to local news channel WMDT 47, the singer was arrested Thursday night after being pulled over on Route 50 for “driving in tandem” with another “at a high rate of speed.” Sgt. Frank Russo said officers picked up a strong marijuana odor coming from his car, which led to a search of his vehicle. According to WMDT, a small amount of marijuana was found in the center console of the R&B singer’s vehicle. Both Holiday and his passenger, George Jackson, will face drug possession charges. (more…)

Johnny Gill has surfaced after years of persistent gay rumors and that he was the driving force behind Eddie Murphy and Nicole Murphy ending their twenty year marriage. Gill was interviewed Friday on Doug Banks’ syndicated radio show “The Ride With Doug & DeDe.” Gill denied being gay or bisexual and seemed extremely hurt that the media would potray him to be more “than a friend” to his buddy Eddie Murphy. He also brags about having a “stable lady” in his life. He also touched upon the drama at Eddie Murphy’s wedding, specifically relative to Murphy’s mother fight with Tracey Edmonds at the “spiritual ceremony”. (Listen to Audio Below) “Eddie has a great level of respect for his mother and his family, just like anybody,” Gill told Banks. “And when Mommy finally decided to speak on it, she spoke on it after the ceremony – simply that she felt everything was moving too fast and it didn’t feel right. Music industry veteran Edward “Eddie F” Ferrell has joined forces with fellow music mogul Andre Harrell to launch MusicWerks.com, a new online music group. For MusicWerks founder Ferrell, the venture will be used to expose users to a variety of options that “range from obtaining digital distribution deals with major online retail outlets like iTunes to receiving professional one-on-one feed back from top A&R’s and execs.” (more…)
Right after her Grammy win last week, R&B/pop star Rihanna has been named an Ambassador for Culture and Youth in her home country of Barbados. The Songstress was given the title by Prime Minister David Thompson at a tribute concert held in her honor last Thursday (Feb. 21). Congrats.
