In a YBF Exclusive article, it is reported that NBA star Joshua (Josh) Powell of the Los Angeles Clippers is involved in a nasty custody battle with his ex-fiance’ Emily Perich. Supposedly Josh is keeping their daughter Patience from her Emily and is allowing diffrent “unknown” women and men to take care of Patience while Josh is on the road. The court papers were filed in Dallas, Texas (where they previously lived), however both parties live in Los Angeles, California. According to court recordings, Joshua doesn’t even know the last names of the individuals that he has caring for his daughter in his absence. A source close to Emily Perich gave YBF an insight as to what is going on. Check out what she had to say:

“JOSH AND EMILY WERE TOGETHER SINCE 2005 BEFORE HE WAS DRAFTED TO THE DALLAS MAVERICKS. JOSH AND EMILY WERE SCHEDULED TO BE MARRIED IN AUG 2008. THEIR DAUGHTER WAS BORN JULY OF 2006. JOSH WAS TRADED FROM THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS TO LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS IN AUGUST OF 2007. SHORTLY AFTER MOVING TO LOS ANGELES WITH FIANCE AND THEIR CHILD HIS ATTITUDE BEGAN TO CHANGE. IN OCT OF 2007 JOSH KICKED HIS FIANCE AND DAUGHTER OUT OF THEIR HOME KNOWING THEY HAD NO WHERE TO GO. WEEKS ENSUING BEFORE THIS INCIDENT JOSH’S ATTORNEY CONTACTED EMILY TO SET UP CHILD SUPPORT WHEN EMILY SAID SHE WAS GOING TO SEEK COUNSEL THEN THEY FILED CUSTODY PAPERS BEHIND HER BACK IN DALLAS TX. JOSH IN RETURN RECEIVED A DEFAULT JUDGMENT AND PLACED A RESTRAINING ORDER ON EMILY SO SHE CANNOT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH HER CHILD. FROM THE DAY THEIR DAUGHTER WAS BORN EMILY HAS TAKEN CARE OF ALL THEIR DAUGHTERS NEEDS WITH NO HELP FROM ANYONE, JOSH WAS EITHER ON THE ROAD MOST OF THE TIME OR AT BASKETBALL CAMPS. EMILY HAS NOT SEEN HER DAUGHTER SINCE NOV. OF 2007 AND JOSH IS KEEPING THEIR DAUGHTER IN THE CARE OF HIS CURRENT JUMP OFFS AND MALE FRIENDS, HE IS ACTING AS IF EMILY IS BRITNEY SPEARS OR IN CAPABLE OF TAKING CARE OF HER CHILD. JOSH POWELL NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED FOR THE FRAUD THAT HE IS. THERE ARE SO MANY TWIST AND TURNS TO THIS STORY, BUT AT MOST JUST VERY HEART BREAKING.”
