After being called out Wednesday by The Smoking Gun.com for publishing a March 19 article implicating associates of Sean “Diddy” Combs – and Combs by association – the Los Angeles Times has issued an apology for using documents that were fabricated.

Sean Levert, son of O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert, was found dead in a Cleveland, Ohio, jail over the weekend, sources said. As previously reported, Sean, age 39, was being held for failing to pay approximately $80,000.00 in child support. The cause of death is not known and details are scarce. Sean Levert was a member of the R&B group LeVert with his late brother Gerald Levert and Marc Gordon. Gerald Levert died Nov. 10, 2006 at the age of 40. (more…)

NY Post spies who attended the event said, “They were both acting like his girlfriends, like it was a menage a trois. The brother of late crooner Gerald Levert sentenced to prison for not paying child support. Sean Levert will spend the next 22-months behind bars. Levert owes $85,427.68 in back child support for his three children – ages 11, 15 and 17. Levert was sentenced Monday by Judge Nancy Margaret Russo. Levert had no comments as to his sentencing. Sean Levert is the baby brother and fellow Levert band mate of the late Gerald Levert.

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his former Chief of Staff Christine Beatty pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges that they lied under oath about having an affair.  Kilpatrick, 37, is married with three children. Beatty, also 37, was married at the time and has two children.
Both parties appeared in separate hearings to answer the charges of perjury, conspiracy, obstruction of justice and misconduct in office announced Monday by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.  District Court Magistrate Steve Lockhart entered not guilty pleas for each of them before they were released on personal bonds.     (more…)
