Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon graces the cover of the upcoming issue of Jet Magazine. In the cover story, she discusses her decision for posing nude in Playboy at the age of 40 and being pregnant back in July:

“I knew I was trying to get pregnant, I said who knows how my body will look, maybe we should document this now. I wasn’t doing this for anyone other than to prove I could do it. Then they offered the cover, which they don’t normally do for Black women. That made it credible”

Wendy Williams husband is being sued by Wendy’s female talent booker for repeatedly forcing her to sleep with him and for creating a hostile work environment. Nicole Spence, who works as the radio queen’s talent booker at WBLS 107.5-FM, filed the papers with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission yesterday. In the explosive Complaint, Spence, 27, claims that her boss’ husband, Kevin Hunter, 33, demanded sex from her more than a dozen times and created a hostile work environment by repeatedly beating up Williams, 43, in and near the studio. Although she may have suffered a broken heart over her failed engagement, model, Selita Banks has bounced back from her ex, Nick Cannon, and has confirmed she is dating New York Giants football star Osi Umenyiora. “I am content now,” Ebanks, 24, said at the Victoria’s Secret Super Bowl VIP gifting salon. “I learned a lot in the relationship with Nick, and it helped me grow as a woman.” Ebanks calls Umenyiora, 26, her “boyfriend,” but explains, “It’s one day at time for us. Naturi Naughton, ex member of R&B group 3LW, was chosen to play Lil Kim in the biopic film of The Notorius B.I.G. Fans didn’t like the producers decision and they have launched a petition posted on the Internet to collect signatures to get the actress removed from the film. The petition which was posted by an anonymous fan states: “Myself along with others feel the casting for the role was not given enough thought and consideration and should definitely give more suitable actresses the chance to apply for it. We are outraged!!!”

Jay-Z and Mary J Blige started their “Heart of the City” tour in Miami this past Saturday, March 22, 2008. This was by far one of the best concerts I’ve witnessed! Dream opened up the concert with his provactive dance team. Mary J Blige put on a REMARKABLE performance singing songs from her first album ,”What’s the 411″, to her lastest LP “Growning Pains”. Jay-Z not only gave the audience a great performance, but he also got a bit political and expressed his dislike for Bush followed by an endorsement for Obama (see pic below)…LOL! Surprise guest appearance from Young Jeezy, Timbaland, and my favorite Kanye West. The crowd literally went WILD when Ye hit the stage! He performed two songs and had EVERY SINGLE PERSON on their feet!

When asked about what the tour entailed, Jay-Z said  “The (songs) we’re playing are the soundtracks to people’s lives” “We’ve poured our hearts out many a night in the studio and look forward to going one step further on stage.” (more…)

After competing in MTV’s “Celebrity Rap Superstar”, Shar Jackson said she is ready to launch her rap career. She was planning to release an R&B/Pop album, but decided to push it back and include some of her rap songs. The ex of Kevin Federline says “I didn’t even know I could rap. That was a shock to me. Now that people enjoy it, I’m going to have a little fun. The album will drop early spring. I’m excited.”

Another reality show is on its way! CBS will premiere its new reality show called “Secret Talents of the Stars” on April 8 at 10 p.m. The show will feature actors, athletes and music artist who compete against each other by performing an unknown talent. The voting will be similar to American Idol voting wherein, the judges will critique the performances but the ultimate decision is left to the viewers to vote someone home each week. Boxing champ, Roy Jones Jr., and singer Mya are among the long list of celebrities that will be featured on the reality series. Roy Jones Jr. will compete as a rapper, and Mya will be showcasing her tap dancing. (more…)

Sad News. The husband of Grammy winning singer Corinne Bailey Rae was found dead from an alleged drug overdose. Her husband, Jason Rae, was a saxophonist with the Haggis Horns. Jason, 31 years of age, was discovered by police on Saturday in the Hyde Park area of Leeds. Police arrested a man for the suspicion of supplying controlled drugs to Jason, however he was later released on bail pending further investigations.
