Common is doing it big in the box office! The Chicago rapper just landed a high-profile role in an upcoming movie (fourth installment) of “The Terminator”. Common will star in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which is being produced by Halcyon Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. and Sony. The fourth installment of The Terminator focuses on John Connor, who leads the human race in an epic battle against the machines. Common will star in the movie as a freedom fighter alongside the central character, John Connor, who is being played by actor Christian Bale. Can’t wait to see this!

I wrote about Common being in Terminator 4 over at Highbrid Nation and I was interested in seeing what others had to say on the matter. All I have to say is that Common must have a heck of an agent because he’s constantly getting good roles though he doesn’t appear to be that great of an actor. I’ve also already convinced myself that T4 will be a very different beast than the Terminator movies I grew up on. They are including rappers in the cast and have anounced PG-13 rating. Even as a hip hop blogger I have to say “no thanks”. Give me the blood and gore and keep the kiddies out.
i would have to agree with mike, dude sucks as an actor, i mean sucks, love his music though, he shows no emotion in any of his roles, uses the same momotone voice, ahhh i wanted to choke him in smoking aces, alicia keys did a hell of a job then here comes common. i think hollywood is just trying to find a new black actor that appeals to the masses. terrence howard is startng to get played out
