LL Cool J has partnered up with Sears to launch a new hip hop clothing line. The clothing line is called LL Cool J for Sears and will be catered to girls, boys, juniors, and young men. Police were called to 50 Cent’s mansion after an altercation took place between 50’s employee and a New Britain woman. Dwayne McKenzie, 27, is accused of choking and striking a woman with a belt during a fight that took place on the rapper’s property. McKenzie has been was charged with assault, strangulation, breach of peace and unlawful restraint for assaulting the 22-year-old lady. The identity of the woman was withheld during press time. This is not the first time 50 Cent’s worker has been in trouble.  (more…)

Rick Ross told us that T.I. will be producing some tracks for his upcoming album “Depper Than Rap”. Ross said that T.I. approached him and wanted to collaborate on his project which is expected to hit shelves later this year. “I was in the Grand Hustle studio. [Tip] told me he wanted to produce five records for me,” Rick Ross revealed. “I was like, ‘Wow. It’s all good.’ We sat down, and he played some beats for me. It was one of those special moments, ’cause I got so much respect for him as an artist, as a lyricist, as a CEO. Now he reeled me in as a producer. Real talk. I’m not saying he’s gonna sell them [beats] to everybody, but he laced me.” (more…)

Alicia Keys made her tour stop in Miami, FL on Sunday. The concert was held at the American Airlines Arena. Alicia Keys was wonderful, and Neyo’s performance was exceptional! He shut it down! Jordin Sparks even did a couple of joints herself despite her medical leave. Check out a couple of pics:

Who watched the Flavor of Love Season 3 Reunion???…Well, although Flav said this season’s ladies were the nicest yet, he dissed the girl he chose for another woman! He reveals to Thing 2 (they girl he chose) that when he started the first season, he was expecting another child, and he says he should be devoted to giving his child, Karma, a dad. Then he brings out his son Karma and his baby mama Liz. Flav does the unthinkable and proposes to Liz. Liz had no connection to the show or any previous season of Flavor of Love.

He tries to explain that he truly was looking for love on the show, but it happens that he had it all along. So I guess he made his money on VH1 and kept it moving with his baby’s mother. LOL!

Did you make it to Miami Beach for Memorial Day Weekend? Well, over 200,000 people migrated to Miami Beach this past weekend to celebrate it’s annual Memorial Day celebration. Miami Beach has traditionally attracted an urban/hip-hop crowd for years. Although in past years, the crime and arrest rate were high, this year only 135 people were arrested for misdemeanor crimes as of Saturday which is a BIG drop from 2006 and 2007. In 2006, a total of 1,100 people were arrested that weekend which accounted for 10% of Miami Beach’s overall arrests in 2006. 2007 arrests total 600 during the holiday weekend. The Police Chief of Miami Beach said the increase drop of arrests was due to less aggressive police tactics which he believes worked in their favor. This weekend was a big money maker for Miami as well. The hotels were at 90% occupancy and the restaurants were at full capacity morning, noon, and night. I hope next year is just as successful. A UK newspaper is claiming that Diddy Combs and Tracey Edmonds were spotted together looking very “lovey dovey”. They also claimed that Tracey admitted to dating Diddy which sounds BOGUS.  U.K.’s Daily Mail quoted Edmonds as saying: “Diddy is the funniest man I ever met” and that she’s “so lucky to find someone so soon after Eddie.” She was also quoted as saying that Diddy is more of a man than Murphy.
