“SUMMER IN MIAMI”: MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2008

Did you make it to Miami Beach for Memorial Day Weekend? Well, over 200,000 people migrated to Miami Beach this past weekend to celebrate it’s annual Memorial Day celebration. Miami Beach has traditionally attracted an urban/hip-hop crowd for years. Although in past years, the crime and arrest rate were high, this year only 135 people were arrested for misdemeanor crimes as of Saturday which is a BIG drop from 2006 and 2007. In 2006, a total of 1,100 people were arrested that weekend which accounted for 10% of Miami Beach’s overall arrests in 2006. 2007 arrests total 600 during the holiday weekend. The Police Chief of Miami Beach said the increase drop of arrests was due to less aggressive police tactics which he believes worked in their favor. This weekend was a big money maker for Miami as well. The hotels were at 90% occupancy and the restaurants were at full capacity morning, noon, and night. I hope next year is just as successful. yo i was this party at the catalina on monday night and the joint got pepper sprayed by the police not sure what happened but the stench of the weed coming from inside was enough to cause the place to get shut down,……weed is illegal, some seem to forget…….so the cops did their thing peacefuly i believe……but you always have a wannabee thug who feels he needs to mouth off….and well lets just say the pavement looked hard….but i had good time girl watching

What can i say about memorial weekend 2008. Another Lackluster year I guess:) Since me and my girls have been doing since 1998 it gets a little old watching all these girl prouncing around like plies is about to have a video shoot lol.
But i will say this on Friday Club fifth on south beach was the place to be definelty grown and sexy. Dj was on point it was crowded but comfty no compliants. I heard the beach was craaaazy and crowded so i stayed away from the typically Wet willys spot nothing says sexy than a drunk man with call a cab stains all over his t shirt. if you are 18-25 range south beach is the place to be
