It’s being reported that Sean “Diddy” Combs recently purchased a new 54-foot motor yacht for $33 million. Dubbed “The Maraya,” the craft was built over the course of three years and includes a top- deck party floor complete with bar, stage and projector screen. MUST BE NICE!

Anita Baker is back! She has booked a couple of live shows for her U.S. summer tour. The tour is set to begin in Vienna, VA. After a 10-year hiatus, Baker returned to the music scene in 2004 with her Blue Note Records debut, “My Everything,” which reached No. 4 on The Billboard 200. She also had an R&B and adult contemporary hit “You’re My Everything,” as well as R&B/hip-hop singles “How Does it Feel” and “Serious.” For all her loyal fans who want to hear her distinctive jazzy voice again, here are the tour dates:

The prosecution’s star witnesses finally took the stand Monday in R. Kelly’s child pornography trial and told jurors about three sexual encounters she had with the singer and the alleged victim in the case.

The prosecutor’s star witness in the R. Kelly trial took the stand yesterday.  Her name is Lisa Van Allen, who is 27 now, but testified that at age of 17 she met Kelly at the video shoot for “Home Alone” and the two had sex shortly after meeting. She said she began taking trips from her home in Georgia to Chicago to visit R. Kelly who paid for the hotel rooms unless they met in the studio where the R&B star recorded. In 1998, the 17 year old quit her job and moved to Chicago to be with R. Kelly. Van Allen said the first sexual encounter was in the log-cabin themed room in Kelly’s former Chicago home where she first met the alleged victim. (more…)

He admits the pair fell out, over what he considered to be her lack of support, but he has stressed that he parted ways with her for her own sake.”

In a 30 minute “question and answer” session, Jason Taylor chose his words carfully when asked if he was leaving the Miami Dolphins. He denied the rumors that he demanded a trade, but acknowledged that if Miami would like him to move him, he wouldn’t be opposed to it. “Do I want to be here? Yeah, I’d love to be here,” Taylor said Sunday morning. “I would love to be a Dolphin and win games and have it work out for everybody. But that may not be the case.” Taylor continues by saying “I want to win in ‘08. That’s what I want to do, and I’ve told the Dolphins from Day 1 that was my intention. My intentions right now are to play one more year. I’ve tried to give the Dolphins the opportunity, if they wanted to do something and move me, then I was OK with that. If they can get value for me, then do that. That was the conversation we had behind closed doors a long time ago.” (more…)

Who went to see the Sex And The City movie this past weekend? Apparently a lot of people did because the film that reunited Sarah Jessica Parker and co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon grossed $55.7 million during its opening weekend. This exceeded Hollywood’s box office expectations. Warner Bros., who was head of distribution, hoped the movie would deliver a $30 million debut, and it nearly doubled the forecasted figure. The movie which was mainly aimed at women broke records. “Sex and the City,” released under Warner’s New Line Cinema banner, had the best debut ever for an R-rated comedy, topping the $45.1 million opening of “American Pie 2.” “This is a blockbuster for women. This was to women what `Indiana Jones’ and `Star Wars,’ let’s say, are to men,” said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box office tracker Media By Numbers.

Sex and the City:Movie picks up four years after the series finale wherein Carrie Bradshaw and her girls left behind their old crazy ways to settle into monogamous relationships. In the film, they deal with family and commitment issues and continue to show off their personalities and fashion sense.

Lil Wayne is making a lot of DJ’s really pissed off. He told Foundation Magazine that he was “anti-mixtape”. “I don’t know no mixtape DJ’s. If you’re a mixtape DJ, f**k ya. I am pissed off at the mixtape game. They suckin’ my d**k but won’t let me cum.” WTF? Anyways, Lil Weezy wanted to clear the beef and his comments. He appeared on DJ Drama’s Shade 45 Sirius satellite radio show on May 30 and said that he did not mean to make a blanket statement that invovled all DJ’s in the game. He did however, call our the makers of the “Wayne’s World” series of mixtapes. While Lil Wayne called out a DJ Empire or “them Empire n***as,” it appears he was referring to Worldwide Legacy’s brand of mixtapes. “When I put the disc in, these n***as on there talking like ‘yo n***a this our seventh time around what’s good and these n***as hating on us. Early last Friday, a fire broke out at 50 Cent’s $2.4 million dollar Long Island home. The fire sent six people to the hospital including 50 Cent’s baby’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins and his 10 year old son. As you may recall, 50 Cent bought a multi-million dollar house for Tompkins in which she sued him over because she wanted all legal rights to the mansion. Because of the ongoing dispute, officials have already labeled the fire suspicious due to the intensity of the blaze that lasted close to 45 minutes and the five gallon gas container found on the property.
