Mario gets a lil’ personal with Essence.com about his Do Right Foundation and his mother’s drug addiction. His foundation helps kids in drug-prevalent environments cope, something that Mario had to deal with growing up. In 2007, Mario allowed MTV to capture his life with his mother who was battling a 20-year drug addiction. Mario says he fears that his mother might relapse, but channels is fears in his Do Right Foundation. Rumor has it that R. Kelly is dating Jo Jo Simmons ex-girlfriend. The chick’s name is “Baby” and we hear she is only 19 years old. I guess R. Kelly can’t get enough of the youngins’…I have yet to confirm this news, so as previously stated its a “rumor”!!!

However, in related news, songs from R. Kelly’s upcoming LP “12 Play 4th Quarter” were leaked on the internet yesterday. He sure came out with some suggestive songs for being recently acquitted of child pornography charges. I guess he can’t change what he is best known for….

Jennifer Lopez will have to balance life has a new mother with twins with a role in the upcoming romantic comedy “The Governess.” The story centers on a professional thief who, in order to pull off a major bank heist, poses as a nanny to the three unruly children of a wealthy widower. Shooting is scheduled to begin this fall in Massachusetts.

St. Louis Rapper, Nelly, will make a multi-episode guest appearance as a club owner/informant on the forensic crime series CSI: NY this Fall. CEO/Rapper of Cash Money Records, Birdman, plead not guilty to marijuana possession charges during a preliminary hearing yesterday (July 29) in Kingsport, Tennessee. As previously reported, Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, and 15 others were charged with possesion of marijuana after police pulled their RV over last November on Interstate 81 for making an improper lane change. Of course the hip hop police searched the RV and uncovered a pound of marijuana in the RV’s trash can, as well as a number of guns. (more…)
