Good, I hope they have a real good DIVERSE line up of who will be representing, lately these fools who so call speak for all balcks in America (Jesse Jackson) need to shut it up!
It was ok.. Not much that I didn’t expect. The same ole stories that we always hear. But Solidad is a good news anchor so that made it interesting
I didn’t need CNN to broadcast why I was black in America
Because non of that pretained to me and my family how they tried to insinuate that were dumb and can’t hold a husband. They still find ways to seperate the fact that we are all intelligent people smarter than most educated and all the above and that 43% percentage I dont know who that belongs to because “WE” do not fall under that bracket Its funny that is more of “US” on Forbes than them. We invented everything that they use light the electricity and everything else. So really who???? are they talking about and 2????? and soon we gon run the government!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OBAMA baby with him see our kids future
This is a post where we should have more post than any other post on here.Instead of entertaining foolishness like young berg and other topics. This is important!!!! something to really discuss ya digg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes Dymond, I do understand…keep the comments coming. Im interested to see how people will respond to this vs. media gossip…
They not gonna respond they want to hear about the new headline “Beyonce Wiped Her Nose” or ” Kanye really uses the Rest Room after buying 65,000 LV bag”. Let it would have been some worthless crap honey. We would have had about 22 comments so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO.
yo the special was good…..i think solidad did a great job at bringing forth and showing how there is really a negative view on what it means to be a black man in america……we as people tend to paise all that is negative and this is showed in our music…..she hit it on the head when she said that black music does not represent the wide spectrum of black people in america, not even close…….we are all not thugs, pimps, drug dealers etc….but if you were to watch BET…you would swear we were…..there is no longer a postive message like there was in the 90’s with public enemy, queen latifah, tribe call quest…….the issue of acting to white and not being black enough was crazy to me….who wrote the book what being black is…..who has the right to say the dude in the street is more black than the head vp of marketing…..beacuse he dresses nice, speaks proper and has a few white friends…..he is no longer black enough, this is just pure ignorance and only a nigger(not nigga) thinks that way…………….the one part that i didn’t like was the issue of the black family and how they showed that more and more women are rasing their kids without the father…i understand that the having a mother and father makes things a little easier on both parents….but comin from a single family household….with a tough no nonsense mother,,,,i felt that this should not even have been an issue…..things fall apart….relationships don’t work…..but as women you have a responsibility to raise and provide for your kid with or without the father…….f$%k black women went through 400 hundred years of slavery…..so i know they are not weak……so to tell me not havin a dude around is going to affect them…..maybe some but not all
I feel what your saying about the negative views on hip hop music. I do think BET does a poor job showing the diffrent aspects of Hip Hop…not all of it is about bling bling, hoes, and how big your rims are. but concious rap from Common, Lupe Fiasco, and many others don’t even get airplay on BET.
true true
