Max B, former Dipset member, just escaped injury after a person opened fire at his concert in New York this past week. Max B, who’s real name is Charly Wingate, performed at SOB on Tuesday Night when a group of men entered the venue and fired gunshots. “They came in 25 deep, a couple of songs were playing and a guy was in Max’s face making gestures. One thing led to another and the whole crew bumrushed (ran up to) the security and everyone started fighting. That’s when a single shot was let off.” No fatalities were reported.

Allhiphop got a chance to talk to Max B about the incident. He clarified his role in the altercation. “I had no control over it. I didn’t want any trouble,” Max explains. “I never want any, but people despise me. They are jealous and envious, and they’re gonna do whatever they can to stop my movement.” After the shooting, the club was immediately vacated for police to conduct a through investigation. When questioned about the identity of his attackers, Max insists he does not know who was involved. “I didn’t know the wannabe thugs who let off a round,” he concluded.
