The 2008 South Florida Summerfest Concert brought on by Vision Entertainment went down this past weekend. The spectacular line-up included Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, Akon, T-Pain, DJ Khaled, Casely, and more. OBIE TRICE LEAVES SHADY RECORDS!

Rapper Obie Trice has decided to leave Shady Records. The Detroit artist confirmed that he would be departing from Shady Records and its parent company Interscope after the heavy circulation of his new single “The Giant”. Shady Records issued an official statement, reaffirming Trice’s decision…Shady Records has agreed to allow Obie Trice to pursue his craft in a different forum free from the constraints of the current major label model,” Eminem’s partner and manager Paul Rosenberg said. Rumors circulated the web last week that Trice’s new single (listen below) was a diss record aimed at Eminem, but all the rumors are false. “Eminem will continue to support and work with Obie on many levels of his career,” Rosenberg stated frankly. “He remains a close friend and member of the Shady family.” (more…)

MANDELA CELEBRATES 90TH BDAY WITH CELEB FRIENDS!

Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday was celebrated in grand style last Friday in London’s Hyde Park before nearly 50,000 fans. Amy Winehouse performed while Will Smith served as the master of ceremonies. Other acts on the bill included Queen, Simple Minds, Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox and Razorlight.
