You know your the “ish” when the legendary Prince comes out to your event voluntarily just to see you personally. Sources have confirmed that Prince showed up at newcomer/singer Janelle Monae’s show on Tuesday night at L.A.’s Viper Room…but Prince never even stepped into the club. Since his was solo, Prince’s limo parked in the back of the club and he waited until Monae was done with her performance. Monae eventually came out and joined Prince in the back seat of his limo…GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER! No freaky deaky behavior was involved…but a source says Prince is a huge Janelle Monae fan and just wanted to give her some “career advice.” (more…)

Fifteen of the hottest female vocalists in the game will be joining voices in a charity tune called “Just Stand Up”. The song features Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood. WOW!

The song will be revealed on September 2 on iTunes. All proceeds will benefit cancer research. The idea of the song was created by Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who produced it with longtime creative colleague Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. (more…)

Jamaica’s, Usain Bolt, amazed everyone again with a record victory. He won the 200 meters in 19.30 seconds at the Summer Olympics, breaking Michael Johnson’s 12-year-old world record by two-hundredths of a second. AMAZING! “I blew my mind and I blew the world’s mind,” Bolt said. He holds world and Olympic records in both the 100 metres and 200 metres and became the first man in history to break both world records at one Olympics, and the first man since Carl Lewis in 1984 to win both races at the same Olympics. Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones passed away yesterday. Ms. Tubbs was the 1st African-American woman elected to the House of Representatives from Ohio and a leader in the fight against predatory lending practices. She was only 58 years of age. The cause of death is said to be a ruptured brain aneurysm that Ms. Tubbs Jones suffered Tuesday while driving her car. (more…)

Rihanna may be BROKE! According to her ex-Business Manager, that statement is TRUE. RiRi recently fired her business manager, Patricia Willliams, and Williams has a lot to say in a “tell all” interview. Williams says she was fired “for no good reason, all in ignorance” after she tried to tell the singer that someone has made off with the majority of her money.

“I’m a professional Business Manager, I have a staff of more than a dozen, I have worked for many high profile actors, musicians and multi-million dollar corporations. Why would I steal from Rihanna?” She continues, “I showed her all the paperwork and tried to explain to her the circumstances but she wouldn’t listen. She called me all sorts of horrible names and stormed off. I now feel compelled to share with the world the background story as I will not allow my name to be slandered”, Patricia xposes.

This time he isn’t in trouble yall! LOL. R. Kelly is suing two Los Angeles club promoters for using his name and image to promote an event without his permission. Kelly says this constitutes “false advertising” because he knew nothing about the party. Kelly isn’t seeking a set amount but it will be a minimum of $25,000 dollars and wants an amount that will “stop defendants’ … disgorgement of ill-gotten gains.”

Eve may not ever have a  career in music again, but she doesn’t care because Hollywood is showing her love. The Philly rapper turned actress will be starring in Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, “Whip It!” Eve will star alongside Ellen Page, who starred as the title character in “Juno.” (more…)
