JAY-Z ADDRESSES FOXY BROWN AND TEAIRRA MARI’S ACCUSATIONS

Jay-Z finally came forward to address accusations that Foxy Brown and Teairra Mari have brought about regarding their tenure at Roc-a-Fella Records. As previously reported, Teairra Mari xposed that she was really hurt that Jay-Z never contacted her to tell her that she was getting dropped from the label due to lack of records sales and Foxy has told the media repeatedly that Jay-Z never checked on her while she was in jail. So Jay-Z felt obligated to clear his record that he isn’t the bad guy here… “As far as Foxy or Teairra Marì, these are people that I have given chances to. It’s understandable that they would be upset, but you got to look at it from my point of view as well,” Jay-Z told AllHipHop.com. “I gave Teairra Marì the same shot I gave Rihanna.” It is obvious that Rihanna had more star quality and success than the former “princess” of the Roc. “No matter what people say, no one has ever said that I am dishonest or that I have taken one dime from them…I’ve never cheated anyone out of a dime. No one’s ever said that, right?”, Jay-Z concluded.

feel that once people reach a certain place/ realm as they might call it, they seem to lose a since of compassion for the little men, it seems hard to grasp, reality. Everything around them, is about the almighty dollar, climax, and notoriety. Fuck a friendship/love, because love, and friendships are not going to feed my family. In Jay walk/ elevation to the top he never felt obligated to put 100% into the artist he signed, whether it is Foxy, Teairra, or the host of Philly and Def Jam artist he has turned a deaf ear to. I don’t believe this was his intention, he probably was to busy, with his other endeavors’ to really give this artist his all. Let me say this if this is your career path, you as a person must take control to make it happen, or at least make some moves of your own, and if your not getting the results you want go sell yourself somewhere else (if your not contract bonded which a lot if not all of these people probably were).

I think he missed the point of their dissatisfaction with him……..it seems that they viewed him as a friend….and he just didn’t follow through as a friend would expect…..i’m in jail and you don’t come check me….that shit means a lot(thanks cas)…….and do be dropped from a label that held you up as the princess of r&b and the head dude doesn’t holla…..come on hov lets get some business etiquette going….but if you check his track record that’s what it is…..if you don’t make dollars you don’t make sense…..Freeway and Beans drop ill albums but Hov never gives them that extra push that they would need
Artiist need to go into the game knowing that business is business. If you are not producing at work in in your regular 9-5 you will get written up,no improvement, then dropped. It’s up to YOU to make it happen. Getting signed is the easy part, staying signed takes WORK.
