Kelis is a lucky girl! She was cleared of charges of disorderly conduct which stemmed from an incident that occured in Miami back in 2007.

As you may recall, Nas’ wife, Kelis, was arrested in Miami last year after confronting and verbally abusing two undercover officers during a police operation in the South Beach nightclub district.

The Associated Press reports that Kelis was cleared of the charges on Thursday (September 12).

During press time, Kelis released a statement to the AP saying she was “happy that justice prevailed” and she hopes the incident “shedded light on the fact that wearing a uniform and carrying a badge does not allow you to act above the law.”
