R&B throwback, Jon B., is saying that Robin Thicke owes him for giving white boys a chance in R&B. Jon B says he challenges Robin Thicke to a piano and vocal challenge…Who do you think would win? Check out Jon B’s interview here:
“I’ve never been on the cover of VIBE, but I don’t think that that is a good thing to really point out. It’s like damn, who are you to say that you deserve the cover? That’s kind of pompous to me. Just fall back and do what you do and don’t complain. You’ve been blessed.” – Jon B on Robin Thicke’s complaint for not making the VIBE cover.
“Listen man, you have your career and I have mine. If it came down to a battle situation, where we were piano to piano, vocals to vocals, and he really wanted to test skills on some wild competitive type of stuff we could make it happen.” – Jon B on a battle with Thicke.
“I paved the way for a lot of white artists now that don’t have to deal with the stigma of being a white artist. I don’t think that people would be as open for non-African American artists like that if it I didn’t take a lot of the slack for them.” – Jon B on originally holding it down for white Soul artists.

Okay, I think Jon B is trying to rekindle himself again w/ this non-sense. Yeah, Robin is hot right now but it took him awhile to get there no matter who came before him…..I don’t feel any love from Jon B-gone!
I still Love Jon B, Robin is good but I actually think Jon B would still win, Jon does come off as if he is hating, but I do think he has a point.
Jon B is hating. Other than being White, their music are not in the same category. The same with Justin Timberlake. Whatever happened to letting your music speak for itself. I love Robin’s music, I like Justin’s music and Jon’s music no longer appeals to me. I just don’t understand the culture of tearing someone else down in order to build yourself up.
This is one of the main reasons I refuse to trust a politician. They say they care about the issues then in the next breath they are tearing each other down in order to earn a vote.
Forget about your vision doing the talking. In the beginning, I thought both Presidential candidates felt the same way. Now, they are no better than two rappers beefing.
It’s old either way you slice it.
Jon B?>>>> Did he even have a 2nd album? He was good once upon a time — but he was a little – ok a lot – like Baby Face and we havent heard much of him since. He may win the contest for talent – but Robin Thicke would win the fans now because we all know him now. Job B was out like 15 years ago.. Robin Thicke all the day!

Shame on Jon B. for doing that…I mean did Robin say anything about him? If not, then JB needs to fall back and be about his business and come out with something more than “Oh So Sexy”….I love that song, but still he needs more than one single….RT is doing his thing and thats all that matters…I barely even read Vibe anymore so it don’t matter to me….
If Jon B really wants to know who is better, here is what he needs to do:
Have Robin Thicke and Jon B throw a concert in the same twon ( i.e. Houston where I live). See how many ticket sales each of them sales.
In my opinion, I really don’t think Jon B. is hating. Why is it that if someone has someone to say that most will not agree with, they are hating? I mean really?? Jon B. didn’t say anything negative about Robin Thicke. He just expressed how he feels about the statement Robin said in reference to vibe, and how he paved the way for white soul artist. In all honestly he did. Jon B did get alot of heat for being a white rnb artist, not to metion a talented one that can be on the same level, if not better than the african american male rnb artist. I think that Jon B and Robin Thicke are both very talented artist with very different styles. People need to stop comparing JB, Robin and JT and just enjoy the music they work oh so hard on! AND FYI the only reason why Jon B isn’t seeing the commercial success he should be seeing is because hes staying true to himself and blessing us with the same music he always had. He hasn’t sold out to the wackness that is of rnb today! I really hopes he finds a major record label that will support him and his work! Until then JB keep working hard and doing what you do! Nice new album by the way! Those who are JB fans need to Helpless Romatic along with Stronger Everyday! You won’t be disappointed!
hi everyone i know that jonB was there from the begening and he’s the best for me cause he produc writing and he don’t need great producteur for the moment to make great music !! jon b they don’t know !!!

Someone mentioned that Jon b is not making music now and that is really not a good basis on which to make the decision. As I said Jodeci, Boyz 2 men, Dru Hill, Troop, Az yet etc are no longer making music BUT they’re better artist than Pretty ricky and day 26! LOL make a long story short: Jon B hands down, im partial to 90’s music and next to JB, RT is irrelevant. Also listen to some of Jon Bs songs I mean I havent heard anything from RT touching “are u still down, whatchu say boo, pretty girl, finer things, calling for you, pants off etc JON B got it over Robin IMO =) one of my fav rnb artist of ALL time, no race involved!
