Lil Wayne’s assistant testified recently relative to the rappers pending case. Terry Bourgeois, testified in a New York court yesterday that he occasionally saw a handgun and people smoking marijuana in the Weezy’s tour bus.
As previously reported, Lil Wayne was arrested on a weapons possession charge last July after a 9mm was found in his tour bus following a performance with Ja Rule at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre.
A police officer had testified she boarded the rapper’s bus after a Beacon Theatre concert because she smelled marijuana. She said while on the bus she saw him try to hide a gun.
Defense lawyer Stacey Richman wants the charges dismissed. She says police falsely claimed they smelled marijuana so they could illegally board the bus.
