Beyonce’s album was due at her label yesterday morning for review, but Beyonce did not make the deadline and says she is running behind. The album is due in stores on November 18th, but by the looks of it, it may be postponed. “It’s not going to be completed,” a source close to the album has been saying. “She’s got to get it out early in the fourth quarter, when there’s so much competition among artists.” Although there are some issues, Bey’s first singles, “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies,” are still scheduled to drop on Tuesday. We previously reported that Janet Jackson was rushed to the hospital earlier this week following her tour stop. Even though it is rumored that Jackson may be expecting a baby, her brother Randy Jackson said it just isn’t true. Randy said that his lil sister Janet is suffering from vertigo, which is a disturbance of the equilibrium which causes dizziness and the sensation of falling. “Janet is doing okay, she suffers from vertigo,” Randy was quoted as saying. Kim Kardashian was booted off Dancing With The Stars last night. To be honest with you, the girl couldn’t dance for the life of her. I guess everyone thought she would be sexy and sensual and have great dance moves, but she has no rhythm and she admitted it! Kim and Mark, her partner, performed the rumba Monday night and her passion wasn’t even there. I think she was on the show for publicity.

Kim took the news like a champ however, mentioning it was the fifth anniversary of her own father’s death, and she was sure he’d be proud of her. “This was a huge challenge for me,” Kim tells us tonight. “Every dance was a huge accomplishment for me and I did the best I could. And this was the best experience of my life.”

Rapper Jay-Z is said to have chosen Dec. 2 as the release date for his new CD “The Blueprint 3,” the last in a trilogy of albums that began in 2001. As previously reported this morning, Jay-Z will be doing two free concerts this weekend for the “Last Chance for Change” Voter Registration Rally! Saturday Hova will be in Detroit and Sunday he will be in my homestate Miami!

Gilbert Arenas spills the beans about his new engagement to his girlfriend Laura. The two have been on and off for a couple of years now, and SHE popped the question to her man. Check Arenas blog on how it went down:

I was thinking up ways to do it, you know, maybe I’ll do like an Easter egg hunt for the ring or something. But then it came to me, I was going to kick it back old school with a “Do you like me?” note that you would do in elementary school. Only, I couldn’t write the note, because that would be like me asking her. So I got my friend to write on a piece of paper “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” in big block letters with two boxes to check off, “YES” or “NO.” Then the final step was for him to write “(READ OUT LOUD)” at the top of the note. I folded it up and had it in my pocket. So there we are at dinner and all her family is there, my dad, her dad, her friends, my friends, Antawn Jamison showed up, Mos Def and a couple people from Mos Def’s crew showed up. At the end of the meal, in front of everybody, I tell her that I have one last gift for her. I told her, “This is my gift” and I handed her the note and I sit down.

She opens the note and she reads it and she says, “Read out loud,” but sort of to herself under her breath because you know, you’re always going to read something to yourself before you blurt it out to the room. Then she reads silently, “Will you marry me?”

Then she flipped the note over to see if there was anything written on the back and then looked at me weird. (more…)

Another Diddy Reality show in the works! Diddy linked up with Mark Burnett and is searching for the next music superstar on his new MTV reality series. The show is going to be called “StarMaker” and is set to premiere in January 2009.

The show will feature a group of aspiring solo artists handpicked by Combs, who will compete against each other for a chance to obtain stardom while living together. Contestants will go through StarMaker boot camp, in addition to being evaluated on various tasks whish include how well they handle photo shoots, deal with paparazzi and physically perform on stage. We previously reported a couple of months ago that we believed Erykah Badu was pregnant with her third child…Well she recently confirmed the rumor at the Austin City Limits concert. Erykah said she is seven months pregnant, but she would not say who her baby daddy was. As previously reported, we believe she is dating producer Jay Electronica. (more…)
