American Idol’s Simon Cowell and his long time girlfriend Terri Seymour broke up after being together for six years. “They broke up about a month ago. Hip Hop has made it its duty to be active in the election campaign. With only one day remaining until the BIG ELECTION DAY, Jay-Z and Sean Diddy, Russell Simmons, Kevin Liles and Mary J Blige came thru to South Florida to encourage everyone to vote despite the long poll lines. I, Miss Xpose, was in line for five in a half hours yesterday people! You can do it too! “It’s bigger than us,” Combs said. “We have to do it for our children, we have to do it for the people that died for us to have the right to vote.” Hova, Diddy, and MJB appeared before a large crowd of almost 800 plus people at the Florida Memorial University for a “Last Chance for Change” rally Sunday afternoon. “We stood in line to get the new Lil’ Wayne CD,” Liles said. “We stood in line to get a new pair of Jordans. We stood in line to get in here. So we ain’t afraid of no lines.” SO TRUE! None of the artist performed, but they took the time to create awareness as to the importance of this campaign.

Hundreds of friends and family gathered in front of Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago this afternoon to mourn the loss of Jennifer Hudson’s slain mother, brother and nephew. Hudson and her sister Julia didn’t attend the public memorial, but will be attending a private, invite only service scheduled for this morning. “She has been doing good,” Demitrias Jackson, a cousin of the Oscar winner who attended the community memorial, told E! News. “She’s very strong and she’s holding the family together.” Jackson said that Jennifer Hudson will be putting her career on the back burner for awhile. “She is going to take a break from acting,” Jackson said. “She’ll be taking time for herself and to be with her family.”

Katt Williams was not killed in a plane crash. Apparently people recieved a text in the middle of the night that Williams was involved in a fatal plan crash! The rumors are FALSE FALSE FALSE!

Another rumor this weekend was that Lil Wayne was gunned down shortly after performing at the New Orleans Arena. The reports claim Lil Wayne was involved in an altercation with members of a rival gang, and fatally shot six times with a semi automatic 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun. Once again, this rumor is FALSE FALSE FALSE!

Don’t Believe the Hype!

I’m hearing of to many deaths these days. It’s disturbing. Executive Vice President of Def Jam, Shakir Stewart,  has passed away. The music exec was found in his home with a single gunshot wound to his head. And while the official cause of death has not been released, police suspect suicide as the cause. Stewart was one of Def Jam’s most prolific executives. Stewart replaced Jay-Z’s position at Island Def Jam and was named Executive Vice President of Def Jam Recordings in June of 2008.
