I’m proud to announce that Barack Obama is winner of the presidential election of November 4, 2008. He is currently the President-elect of the United States of America and is expected to take office as the forty-fourth President of the United States on January 20, 2009. Obama is the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT and I’m overjoyed to be a part of history.
We will always look back on this day, and remember “YES WE CAN”…This is more than a celebration for black Americans, but a celebration for all of us as Americans. Its time for CHANGE! CHANGE THAT WE CAN BELIEVE IN! “The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep,” Obama cautioned. But WE are on our way!

With most U.S. precincts tallied, the popular vote was 52.3 percent for Obama and 46.4 percent for McCain. But the count in the Electoral College was lopsided — 349 to 147 in Obama’s favor as of early Wednesday! Landslide baby!

What an accomplishment for Black people in this country. We haven’t even had all our rights for the 50 years, speaking of the Voting act of the 1960’s (I believe 1965 with Johnson, don’t quote me) to now having a Black president. It’s crazy, in good *ss way.
I was impressed by McCain’s speech in Arizona. He took his loss with class and dignity. It was classic seeing all those racist people faces in AZ as he delivered his speech urging them support Barack as he is. And did ya’ll Jesse Jackson Crying like a baby? MSN was wrong for showing that for like 20 minutes straight.

It’s A Damn Shame That Yall Are Disliking Us For Celebrating, But It The Tables Were Turned, Yall Wuld Be Happy That Mccain Won. There Isn’t Anything Yall Can Do. Hell He’s Not Even Fully Black. Every time I think about us having a black president, reality sets in and I realize that CHANGE HAS COME!!!!! It can only get better from here. We took the first step together as a United Nation!! All praise goes to God who strengthens me!
