Aww man! The foreclosure crisis has hit American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia’s North Carolina home has been foreclosed. The home will be going up for auction as early as next week! Do these celebrities over extend themselves financially when they come across some money, or do they have bad financial advisors? What are your thoughts!

Ah wow~! Big Tasia has had many gigs; why not buy it outright??? She should’ve sold off some of that ‘WILD KINGDOM statues’ to help pay the rent!!! LOL
I bid ONE DOLLAR please, Alex!!!
LMAO sassy!
This is sad. I pray that Fantasia will rise quickly from this minor setback, and shine like the star she is. I feel that Fantasia has something special, not yet discovered; she is “Unique”; not like all the other female singers who sound and look a like.
To answer your question (Do celebrities over extend themselves, or just have bad advisors?): I believe that everyone has the ulimate responsibility of keeping tabs on their own finances for this reason: When everyone is in your pocket and rushing you for cash (family, producers, writers, designers, charities, etc.) and your trying to enjoy some of your earnings at the same time…..you can loose track.
Fantasia did not have much, therefore I believe she had a bad advisor, or she was too giving. I also believe she could be very big with the right crew by her side.
Peace & Love
i think it’s the accountants stealing her munny! these starz are so busy that the behind the scenes people make a living off the celebs.. that’s how it’s been forever

I think it’s a combination of both!
Bad financial advice. Her contract was only $1 million… TLC taught us all how to do that math. Fantasia is a great talent but her advisor told her she could spend more then she had in her account to spend. She trusted and believed the wrong people knowing she wasn’t able to keep track of it herself. We live and we learn… And you know her family helped her get over extended big time… I wish her a major big comeback. She deserves all good things…
That’s what they do, ppl hit for a shot they get a lil fame and then go out a buy themselves a big piece of mess, it never fails. Stick 2 ur guns taisa mayb ur’ll learn this lesson that money isn’t sum thang thrown around like a boomarang it mite not come bck 2 u at all.
Isnt this what happens to all the celebs who publicly announce they can’t read…She was just waiting to get took!!!! I must admit though thats a nice azz crib i would have never thought she could afford that much house just startin’ out…Forget what the accountant say u know what u can and cannot afford…
it is rather interesing that what most, if not all these stars who fall on bad times have in common is the lack of a university degree! what ever the course, if you spend 3-4 years in an institution, and manage to struggle, prepare, take , and pass your exams for those number of years… and finally graduate-believe me, you will unconsciously gain some measure of discipline and control…advisors or no advisors…let us ask ourselves, if you earn the confidence that comes with owning a university certificate, why would you need another human being just like you, to advise you on how to be responsible with your money+how to know your limit?!!
it is clear that any one who cannot manage his own finances needs to ask himself a few questions!
let me ask, have you ever heard that a doctor or a lawyer or an achitect lost all their mony cause they had bad advisers???
i know some people overspend sometimes, but how do you justify that this single girl who won a singing contest the other day rushed out, and bought a mansion that can house a family of 7 members?
look at the other girl, alexandra who won the x factor in england: she’s already taking about buying a PENTHOUSE condo in a very high brow neighbourhood .
the years spent in school are not just for one to pass one’s exams, but also to informally immense one in the fountains of wisdom,in order to prepare one for life’s difficulties…
that is my humble subjective opinion.
