We hear that Kelly Rowland has decided to leave manager Matthew Knowles (Beyonce’s father). Word is that the former Child of Destiny is jumping ship on Papa Knowles to ink a deal with American Idol producer Simon Fuller, who has managed the Spice Girls and Carrie Underwood. Do you think this will cause friction between Beyonce and Kelly?

WOW I’m surprised to hear her finally stepping away from the Knowles dynasty. I don’t think Beyonce will care at this point because she has her own gigs and hasn’t looked back. Matthew probably is a little pissed office but he will get over it as long as Beyonce keeps selling well. And with Solange trying to come up they will be fine for the short term anyway…
It’s about time! He has never put anything into her career outside of Destiney Child. Kelly has talent in her own right and with the right management, she’s going to get a lot further ahead than she has been being a solo artist.
Look at how he is promoting Solange and nobody like her but you see her everywhere LOL.
IT was bound to happen all of could tell Beyonce was the priority for the Knowles! I guess Kelly had to see for herself.

It about damn time,obviously mathew knowles isnt giving kelly the attention she needs to be a great solo artist so why not leave?
all mathew cares about are his daughters,which is understandable, but if you are my manager you should be doing what i hired you for.
and if beyonce gets affended by kellys new decision than they are not really friends.this is business, nothing personal.

Apparently he has his hands full with Beyonce’s career which is evident because Kelly’s solo music career really hasn’t gone any where. She should have left a long time ago.
Kelly should have have left Matthew a long time ago. Friendship is friendship but business is totally different. At the end of the day she has to do what’s best for her. I’m happy Kelly has finally woke up to the game that Matthew’s been playing. She has a wonderful voice and its time for her to shine!!!
P.S. BENONCE’ (lol) isn’t a true friend to anybody but herself. She didn’t show any care or concern to Jennifer Hudson after the evil act that recently occurred in her family. Much support to J-Hud.
All I can say is, IT ABOUT TIME. Mr. Knowles has been Beyonce’s manager all along. Mr. Knowles had no intention of nurturing anybody’s career but Beyonce’s. Destiny’s Child, Kelly, and Michelle, have always been just steps in Beyonce’s career. Mr. Knowles got rid of the talented and attractive girls in Destiny’s Child real early. He needed Kelly’s voice to make Beyonce sound like she can sing. He found Michelle because she wouldn’t rock the boat. To those of you still believing the hype that Beyonce is a DIVA, listen to some Phyllis Hyman. Angela Bowfield, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, and of course MISS ROSS. When Beyonce has developed that kind of staying power, she will be a real DIVA.
You know I am really starting to grow apart from Bey’s music anyway. I think she has never shown any growth in her music. I will admit her first album is a classic and it fit her age at that time but now it seems like every album she is releasing is getting more immature than mature. Kelly is a beautiful young woman who doesn’t need to sit on the sideline and watch someone else’s career take off into the clouds only to watch her’s go down in the dumps. Kelly I believe that you are making the right decision and you should have done it a long time ago. God bless you and your career.

Maybe a fresh start will be good. Sometimes its a motivator and an opportunity to do new and fresh things. Kelly has denied claims that she has been neglected by Mathew Knowles. She also has to work hard to promote her own career. With or without her father, for example, Beyonce was determined to be a star and has worked hard for it, as have Mariah, Keisha Cole, Gwen Stefani, etc. Kelly has to put in the work. She seemed to have been on a more inward journey over the past years. I love her. I hope she’s ready to get to work, making good, chart-topping music!
