Christine Beatty, the ex-aide to former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, will spend four months in jail after pleading guilty Monday to two obstruction of justice charges stemming from their infamous text-messaging sex scandal. Do you think she deserved her sentence?

“I lied under oath,” Beatty said shakily as part of her guilty pleas before Wayne Circuit Judge Timothy Kenny. She admitted lying to jurors and seeking to “impede and obstruct the fair administration of justice” in a 2007 police whistle-blower case. The specifics of her jail housing had yet to be decided Monday.
