DANG! Thought we would start off the new year with no beefs…but it didn’t happen. We hear that Janet Jackson is really pissed off at Beyonce’s comments of her family in the latest issue of Elle Magazine. Beyonce tried to explain the difference between her road to success versus some black performers who were struck my economic struggles growing up. “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar,” said Beyonce. “We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons, but I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.” WOW! That was pretty derogatory and offensive don’t you think?
We hear that Janet Jackson is extremely offended by the comments made in the January 2009 cover story. Do you think Jackson should be? LEAVE US YOUR COMMENTS!

Okay, I thought Bey had a lot more class than this…That was completely uncalled for… Its funny how her dad made a name for himself thru four little girls & her mother was a dress hacker in the basement until the daddy started milking her talents on a solo level…the Jackson’s, especially Janet paved the way for her to appear w/ all her lace front catastrophes….
Joe Jackson seemed to fit the description but Mama Jackson always seemed like she just wanted the best for her kids
I think Janet has a right to be pissed…I don’t know why Bey would say some mess like that. Real low of her…The Jacksons are iconic…I think Beyonce’s letting all the praise she receives go straight to her head…that’s not to say she isn’t talented, but she hasn’t reached that pinnacle (not to me, at least…)
Beyonce is a goof ball. I wouldn’t be mad if I were Janet. I’m not sure how privileged you should feel to have had to let go of the little mansion because daddy quit his job, left Tina and forced her and the kids to have to move into an apartment because Tina was the only one bringing in Money from us sister girls needing a perm. All of this while he was sleeping with the other woman somewhere. Yep that’s sounds really privileged to me. So basically Matthew quit his job to pimp out Beyonce and the girls to make him money through Destiny’s Child. Bold to talk about the Jacksons for doing the same thing isn’t it. Janet knows that Beyonce is missing some nuts and bolts from her tool kit so she is surly just laughing it off and trying not to feel sorry for the pitiful being that chooses to talk about other people’s “hard times” to make one’s self fell validated and top notch. And if I’m correct, when Janet was raised she was brought up in Bell Air because the Jacksons had hit it big by the time she was born. Or they at least had left Gary IN I believe. So Janet was not raised up as a poor child that her father needed to pimp out. But pimp or not – if we compare the Pimp Jo Jackson to the Pimp Matthew Knowles I think we would see similarities in those 2 men that Beyonce can’t see because of those crazy glasses she is wearing in that darn Diva video! I’ve got one word for Beyonce…LIMEWIRE

If anything she should be praising Janet and her family for finding a way to get out and poverty and acheiving their goal of being successful.Just becuase people give you praise does not give you the right to bring others down.
And I dont care what NOBODY has to say,Beyonce wouldnt be who she was if it wasnt for Janet Jackson.Every female on this blog wanted to dress like Janet, be like Janet, dance like Janet,heck even talk like Janet! So who do you think set the precedence of being a DIVA? I think Janet did!

I agree Beyonce should have kept that comment to herself!!! I’m over here DYING at sassybear and I agree with her 1000%! Now I love Beyonce don’t get me wrong but she’s just wrong for that one.
Bey needs to sit down. They struggled in the beginning just like everyone else, let’s not forget the THS’s. It was a time when her mother and father split up, so what perfect world is that? Even though she might of felt like that, she should of kept that to herself.

1st of all i dont think b meant it like that. I think she was just saying that they were already upper middle class and matthew quit his job to help his daughter with her dream not to really make money, as to where the jaksons were livig in a 2 bedroom shack and needed their children to make it in show biz. And you must admit the jakson children are crazy because joe pushed them and forced them and beat them wit switches to be famous. Wit mathew they just wanted it. Maybe B could have worded it better but other than that yall some hate n BITCHES!!!
wow!!! wow!!! wow!!! i think that the jackson ’s did what they had to do, nobody is perfect and once they grow and go there own way they do what they want, i think that beyonce’ could have never word it like that because respectivly, the Jackson’s all worked hard just like destiny’s child did to get where they are, as well I like beyonce but it seems like she is getting a little tooooo, arogant!
Kudos to chocolate delite!!! That was my take on the situation as well…Yall know Bey can be a little uncouthe at times and occasionally airheaded..When they asked her the question maybe she wasn’t prepared…She need to stick to her scripts and cue cards so this doesn’t happen again though!!!!!!

I’m not sure what to say about this one…initially I thought..nah, that’s not B, but wassup with Solange’s comments (if they’re true)? Instead of instigating, she needs to try and get a REAL career of her own, keep her legs closed, and concentrate on being the young, unwed mother that she is. I don’t think having a sister who got pregnant at the age of 17 is all that becoming of a upper class family. for by ounce say to say what she did shows she dont get it when she got out sanged on the movie dream girls by jen huston the real artist ego came out and she trned it on a poven diva janet first beyounce sings techno music cant play an instumet janet plays the piano cant write shhet music janet does a lot of her own writting and keyboard wowrk check out th credits on her albums so to me beyounce is a made artist who later lerned to bcome an entertainer not one who as a kid like janet grew up acting and perfoming on stage she owes janet an appology and the africian race who are supporting her garbage she puts out janet paid her dues now beyounce she seems to be tying to buy hers ask her to say something about jen hudson who went on to win an oscar
