It’s official. Kelly Rowland is parting ways with her long-time manager Matthew Knowles, the father of superstar Beyonce. Kelly Rowland has received great success in Europe, but did not get great reviews in the U.S. She released her album entitled simply “Ms. Kelly” in 2007 and it sold less than 500,000 copies nationwide. People say her album was pushed back to make room for Beyonce’s successful “B-Day” album. In an official jiont statement, Knowles and Rowland said their split was amicable.
“Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance—both as a member of Destiny’s Child and with my solo projects,” stated Rowland.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Mathew said:
“After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny’s Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost and as a dad I can only have love for Kelly.”

Kelly sold 500,000 copies, Beyonce sold Millions. No question on where the focus should be.
I like Kelly but she is mediocre, she is like Ashanti and Ciara
If she does better in Europe then maybe that is what she should focus on, later on she can do a reunion show with Beyonce and Michelle.

Matthew absolutely focused more on Beyonce and Solange more than Kelley. But now that she is gone I can’t wait to see how she does outside of his influence. Comparing her to other solo chicks out there right now she falls at the bottom in my opinion – so hopefully she will do better away from Matthew…

I think I know most of Beyonces songs but I only know one of Kellys songs.
I think that song was called Like This, idk.I’m sorry to say this but if Kelly wasnt in Destinys Child she would definetly be considered a one hit wonder.

Kelly..her voice isn’t as strong as Bey’s. She’s a whisper of a singer. Or a good hook girl but she hasn’t found her niche yet…
I like Kelly but it dont matter who her manager is! I have a hard time seeing her makin BIG ASS PLATINUM records solo!!! Sorry just cant see it.

Hell ya he focused more on Beyonce. Hello? Who just came out with another album and is on tour and is acting, and has a ton of endorsments? Beyonce, thats who. You hardly here anything about Kelly and even less of Michelle.
