   I agree the comparisons are too great. Keshia – Luvs u girl but sit this one out. Mary J and her hubby have decided and that’s what we must go with. I remember when Keisha first came out I thought of Mary J when I heard her and heard a little about her life. Uh, we only need one Mary J in the room on this night.

   Judith Jamison is an amazing dancer, choreographer and the artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American dance theatre. Ya know just a little FYI. Lol You can see how much I care about the other drama. Love both artists, so just brush your shoulders off Keyshia Coles and keep it moving. I’m sure she will live to sing another day.

   There are a couple similarities between Mary and Keyshia but Keyshia would have not ripped whateva song she was suppose to sing for Mary.
   Mary is my girl and she is a great singer. Keyshia always had that singing in the shower voice to me.Sorry!
   Someone obviously didnt give Keyshia the 411 on Mary.lol

   I mean did y’all read it? It said Mary’s husband/manager was the one who didn’t want Keisha to sing for Mary, which I think she would of done a great job. That husband has some issues if you ask me. He keeps Mary from her fans and everything. Not a good look Kendu.

   Lovely1 – much respect always

   I think it was Kendu that helped Mary J get to the good place she is in as it relates to drugs and the “wordly” life. If it isnt broke – dont fix it..I think he helped her come a long way so his advise may be the right way to go. At least for now. Im all for being your own woman but he seems to be good for her at least from the outside looking in. Mary J – listen to your hubby girl

    Why on earth is Anita Baker singing a tribute for Mary J. Blige. Are you kidding me??? They should be singing a tribute for Anita. When I seen this last night…I was SHOCKED…Mary has nothing on Anita. Now, I like Mary and have been a fan of hers for years…but I’m sorry Anita should not be singing no tribute to her…she is way better

    I dont really see what the big dill is. I love keyshia cole but i’m in love with mary i grow up on her. Long as Keyshia got to proform let it go and move on why be pissed,put your energy some where else

    i dont know what the big deal is. I guess people dont remember when Mary first came out a lot of peopler weren’t feeling real love and they assumed she couldnt really sing. it wasnt until her album My Life dropped that people began to really feel her and after her duets with jay-z on reasonable doubt and etc. at first, for a long time, her live vocals were Horrible. mary had to grow as an artist and even now sometimes she can be pitchy. i love mary j blige but we got to keep it real, it has taken time for her to get to where she is today, she didnt come out singing well and didnt have a stage presence for awhile because of the drugs and the mindset she had, she admitted this herself. as for keyshia not performing i guess kendu didnt want to make keyshias career any harder by constantly be compared with mary (even though it’s going to happen regardless) and monica didnt do good at all on im not gonna cry. that song didnt fit her strong alto voice, which is beautiful nonetheless. keyshia’s voice wouldve fit the song better and hopefully this doesnt grow until something more because all of these entertainers will be compared to someone at one time or another. mary was compared to anita baker one time because of her once slow soulful jams. so i think its not that serious and that kendu needs to understand Mary got her because artists in the industry showed her love and because she kept working and became better….

    Mary J iz my favorite all-time female singer/songwriter/rapper/whatever for life. I have loved her since she came out, she and 2Pac r da realist an’ I’m sure dat if Keyshia would have sung one of Mary’s song everyone would still be tryin’ to compare dem as well as blogin’ up comotion. Kendu may have been on point and Mary had to agree, but at da same time it was o.k. fa Mary to sing a tribute to Mrs. Aretha Franklin (whom everyone compared, too)! Keyshia may have another chance, tho..I hope she do a special album re-recording sum of Mary’s best (Which iz Damn-near all of’em).
