Tyler Perry has announced that he is selling his 17,000 sq ft. home in Fairburn, GA for $3,695,000.00. The property has 6 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, a 4,000 Sq Foot master bedroom and a grand salon. The home was featured in Perry’s first feature film “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”. I wonder why he is selling this house. Its gorgeous!!!!!
UPDATE: Okay, I got the story clear now…My girl Dymond informed me that Perry is selling is house because he is building an even bigger one. According to AJC.com, Tyler Perry, creator of the “House of Payne” TV show, is building his dream home on a 17-acre tract he bought off Paces Ferry along the Chattahoochee River. The 30,000-square-foot French provincial mansion should be ready by Thanksgiving. But Perry’s purchase of the property in 2005 has put him into a drama more bizarre than any play he’s written or movie he’s produced.

The listing from Coldwell Banker for the gated estate located at 9620 Cedar Grove Rd. says: “Behind the stunning mahogany double doors you will find an unbelievable foyer with marble floors, two vast sitting areas, a floating mahogany staircase leading to an exquisite grand salon, all with dramatic ceilings over 20 feet high. The gourmet kitchen features a two story ceiling with a double-sided fireplace. The spacious family room has dramatic French doors leading to the pool and terrace.” The master bedroom “features an enormous sitting area, his and her custom closet over looking the stunning master bathroom.” There is also a theater room, study, and professional gym on the property.
Sound Amazing Right!?
Perry also wanted to remind his fans that the series premiere of MEET THE BROWNS airs on TBS tonight after HOUSE OF PAYNE!

Dear Perry, I’m a fan of yours. I see you’re building a new home. I just love seeing young people blessed. And I wish above all things that you’re blessing continue in Christ. I saw you helping with Home Makeover and I was overwhelmed. May God bless your heart and continue to help. Tyler, I’ve been trying to get help for the young people in my community for twenty-one years, and no success. People do not understand working with me as a minister. Our young people need a recreational park in Cordova, South Carolina. I’m asking for your help in Christ, Please call me at (803)534-7475) Looking to hear from you.
Love,
Minister Ethel G. Wade
What’s with asking rich people for their money? Tyler will never read this and even if he did I am sure people ask him for money all the time. Short story here: I have a close friend who came into a very large amount of money and shortly after everyone was asking her for money, and I mean everyone! Strangers found out where she lived and would ring her doorbell with stories from sick children to starting businesses. She finally had to move somewhere where nobody had heard of her or knew about her inheritance because it had become such a disruption to her life.I don’t mean to sound like a jerk but come on. I have a real problem with people “guilting” people into giving them money by saying they are a minister and saying “bless you” , “I ask for your help in christ”, and crap like that to get money. Maybe you can pray for the money and god will find a way to get it to you? One last note, I never once asked my friend for money when she inherited $4.8 million, not once. I am a RN and make good money and live within my means and don’t need to ask.
Adding to my last post: after reading “minister Ethel Wades’” post again, I would question the motive. The last sentence says “looking to hear from you” instead of looking forward to hearing from you. This sounds very much like something I got on facebook that turned out to be a nigerian money transfer scam. I of course did not fall for it because right from the start it raised a red flag. Someone you don’t know contacts you, tries to befriend you, then some story about needing money to get back to the US from a foreign country, I mean come on…really? I can’t believe people actually fall for this crap. I am not saying the minister is a scammer but it takes a lot of nerve to ask a stranger for money. I’m just sayin…….
