   I’m not sure what it is that makes me mad when a black man divorces a black woman and then crosses over to the other side. Something about that just creeps me out. I’m ok with interracial relationships. Who cares if your girlfriend or wife is white but to end your life with a black woman and then start over with a white woman makes me think you have a problem with the black woman. Just my opinion… I’m like – was it that bad or could you simply not hang with our strong personality. What’s the real deal

   If she filed for bankruptcy almost 7yrs ago, why would you guy a home…esp after dating for only 18mos? when will they (blk men) learn? She is going to hold on tight until she gets everyting she wants and then you’ll hear in the news that they are separating. I say when it all crumbles, they getwhat they deserve.

   I’m with you Realest. Why can’t it be he got another woman. Who cares if she’s white. This is getting rather old. It seems we go after what we like. Now to say he only likes white women is one thing but that’s not the case. He likes women and the one that holds his attention happens to be white. I’m married to a black woman because we are compatible not because she is a black woman. KILL ALL THAT STRONG BLACK WOMAN BS. What makes a strong black woman. Better yet, what makes a strong woman or man. I know both. When a black man get a white woman that line always come up. ” He couldn’t handle a strong black woman”. It’s Old! I know some white women that will whoop yo azz. As well as some black women that takes a lot of sh-t because she is weak. So it’s not the color, it’s the person. NEXT CHAPTER PLEASE! GO MIKE. I don’t care what the skin color is but when the subject comes up it is always the blcak man that puts down black women…like the description that Realest gave…have they ever stopped to consider what part do you play for her to be screaming, and angry?!!     Not here to make enemies…just thought provoking conversation. But what really is a “Strong Black Woman?” I tend to think that the proclamation comes from a fear of rejection that wants to mask itself in ‘The Strong Black Woman” so it doesn’t hurt so bad if/when the rejection comes. Maybe sista’s should take a look at that statement and why it so gets on the nerve of “Men” (all Men). It’s almost like your destroying the product before yu even put it on display. If he knows your the SBW type it’s like – “Oh God Here We Go”, thanks, but no thanks.

    I am so sorry that some black woman somewhere made it hard for the rest of us. The 2 or 3 out of ten has given us a bad wrap. Now, let me bring it to every one’s attention that Yvette isn’t white. She’s Cuban. A beautiful Latina. Need I say more? They are just as sassy as black women, if you wanna go by stereotypes. Not to mention, just as curvaceous.

    But in life you shouldn’t go by stereotypes. There are educated, classy black women who have integrity. It’s a shame that people always use that when giving an answer to the age old question.
    Truth be told, a person should be with the person who makes them happy. It’s unfortunate that he couldn’t find happiness with a black woman, but that’s his choice.

    Please stop judging us by the 20 percent or so women who roll their eyes and necks. We are not all like that. Do you see Michelle Obama rolling her neck or Condoleezza rice smart-mouthing anyone? How come we cant be judged according to them?

    p.s. There are ignorant people of all races. It’s not just black women. Women are born gentle fragile creatures. Those of us who are aggressive were made that way by a man, or just by life. Yes most black women have grown tough exteriors but it’s due to life. It’s the dominoe affect. Don’t forget that we still didn’t have rights after the black men were given theirs. We have the weight of the damn world on our back, that’s why we’re rolling our necks. Yes we are strong: Army strong cuz we’ve been through war. No one wants to give us respect, not even the black man. We have to earn it, while the women of other races are just handed it.
    And truth be told. We don’t care!!! The black women who seem to be upset at the idea, are the same black women who react badly to BLACK women like me. Black women who have an extra pep in their step due to their degree and/or financial status. It’s just in their nature to be envious. They’re unhappy within themselves. So it’s not all of the black women who hate on the white women, its just the one’s who are bitter. It’s the same one’s who hate on the successful and happy black women. Sorry for bursting your bubble.

    Oh, and don’t forget, Michael was with a black woman for a couple decades. You have to give it to him for that.

    To answer jakynd16’s question. A strong black woman is a woman who has made it through the storm. She’s seen it all, endured it, conquered it, and triumphed over it. And anyone who doesn’t believe that black women have had it hard needs to brush up on some history. How dare you try to take our recognition? I am a strong black woman and I wear my medal proudly. And my fiance chose me to marry, knowing and loving the fact that he was about to ask a “Strong black woman” to marry him. In fact, it’s the very reason why he chose me. and FYI, all black women aren’t considered strong black women, only a select few.

    Reading through these comments is disturbing. I want to apologize for every one’s ignorance on “man’s” behalf. Not black man’s behalf, just man’s in general.

    We need to be past this color thing. It’s now to the point where if you close your eyes, you won’t know who the hell you’re speaking with, what race they are or ethnicity. I know many Asian people, Arabic people and many other people of beautiful ethnic groups who don’t have an accent at all. I take that back, they have an American accent. We are to a point where we are all just American. Let’s accept it, embrace it, and move the hell on.

    As an older black man I have dated women of all races. The problem with black women, they always call themselves “Strong Black Women”, which I have never understood. Strong black women are more like a man, paranoid and to use black men for a pay check. When they do get hook up with a black man (usually a thug) they are wiped out. Not all, but some black women are so insecured and feel self-loathing they are threathen by the white women! Black women, being a strong black women have only brought you loniness and grief. Stop acting like a man!
