HOT OR NOT?

Tyler Perry will be turning the big 40 soon and he plans to reward himself in a HUGE way. The star will be treating himself to the ultimate present by buying his own private island. Perry, who recently enjoyed a holiday on a private island in the Bahamas’ Great Exumas, says, “I’m a loner by nature, so when I’m out there on these islands, I just feel like the only person in the world.” Perry says he will not be naming his island after himself. “It won’t be Tyler Perry’s Island! I’m so sick of seeing Tyler Perry all over everywhere! I’ll know what to call it once I’m there. It’ll speak to me.”

Chris Brown and Rihanna were spotted leaving Miami after a long weekend with friends and family at Diddy’s mansion on Star Island over the weekend. They both were flying out to L.A. this morning. Rihanna covered herself with a blanket to avoid paparazzi, and Chris Brown walked to the private jet with no worries. I’m sure Rihanna’s team requested that she not be pictured together with Brown for publicity reasons…but hey, you just can’t avoid the paparazzi!

Lebron James threw a party entitled “Eighty81 Presents a night with Lebron “King” James” in Buckhead, GA this past weekend. He was in town for the Cavaliers vs. Hawks game. President Barack Obama took some time off to attend the Wizards vs. Bulls game last Friday. He sat courtside, but I’m quite sure if he could really enjoy himself because everyone of course wanted to meet him or take pics with him. Nevertheless, He enjoyed a nice beer during the game and it was nice to see our President just kickin’ back. Obama got up to leave with just under 4 1/2 minutes left, not staying to endure the 113-90 final score of the winning Wizards.President Obama is the first president to attend a Wizards game since Bill Clinton in 2000. Coolest President ever! LOL!

Kanye West and his new boo, model Amber, were spotted going on a shopping spree in L.A. They just got back from their trip to London for Fashion Week. The two were seen shopping together at H Lorenzo boutique and later had lunch at La Petite Fou.

‘Ye and Amber met during New York Fashion Week. Amber has an interesting background, she used to be in a stripper in Philly, and also was a lesbian (see pics below)…well, I guess now we can consider her Bi-Sexual? Who knows! (more…)

David Banner is in some legal trouble. He is being sued by Davenport Lyons for breach of an oral contract. Banner allegedly entered into an oral agreement with Davenport Lyons to provide legal and other professional services to Banner. The lawsuit pleading states, “[Banner] was to pay [Lyons] a specified fee for those legal services and other professional services.” However, payment was not made, claims Davenport Lyons. Lyons is seeking more than $43,000 in damages and attorney’s fees. My question is, why would an attorney enter into an oral agreement, don’t you think you would ask for your client to sign a retainer agreement? WTF? I wonder how this will pan out!

The NBA is set to borrow $175-million in the wake of the ongoing nationwide recession. The presumption is that the teams will use the money to cover operating losses. The deal comes with interest rates up to 8.27%. The NBA polled 15 teams and agreed there was a need to go ahead with the plan. Each of the teams can borrow a maximum of $11.66-million from the debt proceeds.

Breaking Newz: NFL Players Lost At Sea!

UPDATE: The Coast Guard found the overturned boat belonging to an NFL player off Florida’s Gulf Coast on Monday, and has rescued one of the four men aboard, the St. Petersburg Times reported on its Web site. Read More FoxSports. The Coast Guard says former University of South Florida player Nick Schuyler was rescued Monday off the coast of Florida. The Coast Guard says Cooper, Detroit Lions free agent Corey Smith and another former USF player, William Bleakley, remain missing.

Sad news…NFL players, Corey Smith of the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders’ Marquis Cooper were among four people on a boat that disappeared off Florida’s Gulf coast. The other two people on the boat were Will Bleakley and Nick Schuyler, both former University of South Florida players. The coastguard revealed that they did not receive a distress signal from the 21ft-long boat. Officials confirm the water was “extremely choppy” and they believed the boat was “in distress.” During the search of a 750-square-mile area, there have been wind gusts of about 45mph and waves reaching up to 10ft high. Mos Def needs may need to leave the music behind because he seems to really enjoy the acting gigs. And he is mos def’ great at it! His new project will be making an appearance in an upcoming episode of FOX’s popular drama House. Mos Def will play the role of a man who is unable to move or communicate after awakening from a bicycle accident. The episode will air on March 23. Mos will also be playing alongside Mike Epps in the movie “Next Day Air”. The movie is set to hit the big screen on May 8th.

In music related news, Mos Def’s 4th album entitled “Ecstatic” will be released May 19th! Love this dude’s hussle!
