After her exciting win against her sister Venus at Madison Square Garden on Monday, Serena Williams is linking up with Ludacris to launch a worldwide competition to land Serena a theme song. The contest is called “Serena’s Song” and it is searching for songwriters, rappers and singers from all over the world to create original song to help motivate the tennis star. Willaims reveals that “Sports and music have such a powerful connection. I always see athletes including myself listening to music, while they’re getting ready for or decompressing after a match, or a race, or a game, whichever the sport.”
Congrats to Serena who took home $400,000 for winning the inaugural Billie Jean King Cup, a one-day, four-woman event that took place at Madison Square Garden. WOW!
