There was a stupid “April Fools” joke going around the net saying that R&B star Keyshia Cole’s mom, Frankie, passed away! There was no “Man Down” situation! I thought it was a heartless joke! Not Funny!

The rumor was that Frankie Lons, star of BET’s hit show Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” died in a fatal car crash.

Cole’s management, Manny Halley released the following statement regarding the rumor:

“Imani Entertainment has received a huge amount of inquiries in regard to the rumor about Keyshia Cole’s biological mom, Frankie Lons, having recently passed in an automobile accident. The rumor has absolutely NO truth to it — Frankie has not been in any accident of any kind and is doing well at home in Atlanta. We want to thank all of Frankie’s fans for their concern.”
