MICHELLE OBAMA’S EXPENSIVE SNEAKER CHOICE WHILE FEEDING THE POOR CAUSES CONTROVERSY?

A “shoe-gate” situation is brewing in the White House. Several outlets are making a big deal about the $540 sneakers worn by Michelle Obama on Wednesday while volunteering at a Washington D.C. food bank for the homeless. Ummm? Whats the big deal?
The sneakers, which come in denim and satin, are a favorite of comic Ellen DeGeneres and rapper Kanye West — and they’re “certainly not a reflection of the poor economy,” said FOX News’ Noelle Watters, host of iMag Style.
“She paired the kicks with a much more reasonably priced cardigan from J. Crew similar to the one she’s worn in the past,” Watters said. “And quite honestly, the usually well-styled Michelle didn’t match. While her over-priced designer sneaks were gray and pink, her sweater was a gold argyle style. A definite fashion faux pas.”

I could give a rats a$$ if her shoes match her outfit. BFD! Now do I care that’s she arrogant and this is a slap in the face for Americans who are losing their jobs and their homes? I could give a $hit that the Obama’s are wealthy without the White House. If the money received….via our tax dollars by being president and first lady is not needed; then give it to charity…..or better yet, give it back to the hard working tax payers.
Bottom line, even I know what is appropriate to wear for certain occasions. Current politicians are so wrapped up in their own over-inflated egos, they haven’t the foggiest idea what it’s like to be hurting financially.
Oh and don’t make the comparison of Michelle Obama and actors and musicians wearing high priced items. You people kill me……….it’s not “hatin” it’s not a “black or white” issue. I hate that one of the topics regarding this picture was the First Lady’s shoes. Cinderella, As for what is appropriate to wear to a food bank where you might be walking around and standing is something comfortable… she looks pretty comfortable to me. The Obama’s worked hard to possibly not be affected as much as others by this recession… they worked hard to get where they are financially and politically… Michelle can wear whatever her bank account permits regardless of the economy… I am sure you have went and probably brought something in the last month that wasn’t budgeting I know I have not… I wish people would leave them alone and stop pecking and pickng everything to make them look bad.
