Yesterday, we reported that XXL mag received a letter from reps of Louis Vuitton who were very upset that Rick Ross was wearing bootlegg Louis Vuitton shades on the latest cover of XXL magazine.
Well, since the news broke up, Jacob Bernstein, aka “The Sunglasses Pimp,” decided to come forward to defend “The Boss”. Jacob says admits that he’s the designer behind the Miami rapper’s custom shades, saying the Louis Vuitton sunglasses are no less authentic than a customized Rolls Royce.

“It’s the same thing as buying a Rolls Royce and having it tricked out,” Bernstein told AllHipHop. “Just because the product has been customized by me doesn’t take away from the fact that the frames are authentic Louis Vuitton Millionaires.”

We hear that Bernstein is well known in the industry and has customized shades for many celebrities including Jay-Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Sharon Stone, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Brad Pitt, Usher and others.

In related news, we hear that Rick Ross has revealed his obsession with his collection of designer sunglassed for the bootlegg to the authentic, LOL!

He tells StreetLevel.com, “I’ve had sex in my shades, sometimes I wear my clear ones. A lot of ladies compliment my eyelashes so I don’t want people to see them; I’m shy, so wear my shades all the time. I never told nobody that before.”
