TAMEKA FOSTER’S BEST FRIENDS SPEAKS OUT TO ESSENCE.com!

Tameka Foster Raymond’s best friend Nyiesha DeWitt decided to speak with ESSENCE.com about the recent rumors relative to Tameka and Usher’s divorce. Nyiesha, an educator and doctoral candidate who has been friends with Tameka for 20 plus years, says that she is really fed up with the blogs and media painting an ugly picture of her BFF. ESSENCE.COM: Is it true she first learned that Usher filed for divorce after reading about it?
DEWITT: She didn’t know that he was going to file. Of course, she knew that there were challenges in their relationship and had been some discord since March and was aware there were some things that needed to be worked through. But did she know that divorce was imminent? No. It was a total surprise.
ESSENCE.COM: To your knowledge, is it true that they’ve been separated for the past year?
DEWITT: That’s not true and there’s proof of that if people would take the time to do their research. I was at her birthday party that he hosted in Las Vegas this past January and he flew in all of her family and close friends to celebrate. When I read that people were reporting they’d been separated for a year I’m thinking, That’s insane!, because that would mean he left her when she was two months pregnant with Naviyd, and Usher Raymond, V, was only five months old.
ESSENCE.COM: Was Tameka also caught off guard by the images of Usher and Def Jam’s Grace Miguel?
DEWITT: I don’t know what it is or isn’t. What I admire about Tameka is that, despite all the gossip, she isn’t bitter or hardened by it. I don’t know how she does it especially with children [from a previous relationship] old enough to read the lies that are written. It’s like having to keep your hands at your side while someone repeatedly punches you in your face.
ESSENCE.COM: Is it true she flew to Brazil to have liposuction and subsequently went into cardiac arrest during surgery?
DEWITT: Yes, she went to Brazil with friends but decided to have the surgery on a whim. And yes, she did go into cardiac arrest but she never had the surgery. She said everything a BFF should say but come on, a DIVORCE filing didn’t just appear out of Usher’s azz! She thought those boys were going to keep them together~! that’s the oldest entrapment in the world!!!!!
Now he has to hear, I TOLD YOU SO from everybody close to him….:(

I agree! And I’m sorry, but you just don’t have liposuction on a whim. You have to talk to a doctor and have a series of tests, etc. He/She has to make sure that you are healthy enough to have that kind of surgery. Both my mom and a friend had hysterectomies and they had to have a series of appointments before the surgery could even be SCHEDULED.
Tameka Foster is proving to be a real air head…I feel for Usher and I hope Chili is getting a good laugh from this divorce..
I find it even harder to take Tameka at face value. If it was Tameka doing the interview I would have a little empathy (about this I—I much). Her friend didn’t really say anything new worthy either. Just because Usher hosted a B-day party for her doesn’t mean they were together, just shows that he is a good husband. Also, didn’t Tameka hire a PI??? Her ass knew.
In light of the newly marriage I think Tameka went into it knowing he was not ready! He just gave an interview a few months before the nups and he stated “He was never getting marrried” If she would have payed attention to his past she would have saw the signs. He’s a boy doing thangs and he needs to be single. This new tramp will find out the same thing!!!!!
You know this is a waste of my time to say but im gon say it anyways.Whoever said she or anyone is pretty to be dark skinned is the most ignorant ass eva.That’s one of the most dummest thing i ever heard you couldve thought before you spoke that.You need Jesus in ya life and it doesnt matter what color you are.I saw white,lightskinned people,and other color girls who dont look near good as some of these dark skin ladies and that’s for damn sure.Amen i know i can get a witness on that one.Man please get it right and stop saying stupid stuff.You lamo!
