   Yes, she has a GREAT point! Half the people acting today have skills that can fill a thimble while those like Nia, Sanaa & others are left on the sidelines! I’m with her I refuse to watch any movie, sitcom with those whom just promoted an album!

   its like Warren Sapp playing the role of THE HULK or
   pitfull JaRule being someone’s quarterback~! stay in your lane.

   She was telling the trueth! There have been movies Bey has been in and they advertised the movie as if she was the main character and she wasn’t. I was all abouth her face producing revenues. NIA IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

    anywho: Nia is speaking the absolute truth…No disrespect to Bey but she is not the best actress and she clearly is used to sell tickets no matter how bad her movies are. Nia is classy and was speaking in general terms that just so happen to match Beyonces skills or lack of skills.

    it is so true..Nia and other TALENTED actresses, spend years and money on perfecting their skill. These women make a living doing this. And to see some agin stripper ( beyonce), swoop down and take these roles, is an insult to the movie industry. The only reason Beyonce got this role is so she and others can say ” Oh yeah!! Beyonce whooped some chick’s ass.. she’s a woman scorned!”…it’s such bullshit. I really feel for Nia and others

    Plain and simple Nia is right. The industry is forever going with who will make the most sells instead of REAL ACTRESSES or ACTORS. Cut it out already. Bey can not act and needs to attend acting classes. No one is hating on her, they are speaking the truth. Her ass is overrated, stick to singing. I Didn’t even go see the movie because I refused to get sick watching the fakeness.

    honestly, I AGREE with the fellow commentors acting is a skill that is crafted. Roles shouldn’t been given based on staus or how much money can be generated at box office. Furthermore, she has a chance to excel if she chooses to based on training, not becuase of who she is. Nia and even other prominent actors could have played the part. I didn’t see the movie either but it was becase of her last movie.

    why should movie execs use people that dont draw revenues because they have skills??? sometimes thats not enough..nia should know by now that is the nature of the business. Besides in my opinion she just an ok actor herself…go reinvent yourself girl and stop coming off like a hater, its tacky and unbecoming to a real professional..

    Nia is right i truly agree with her 1000%, beyonce is overrated period. The only person that i liked in the 90’s that i thought had great acting skills was Lauryn Hill she was really great on Sicter Act 2 i miss her so much.

    I can understand Nia’s point of view, but there was no need to jump all over Beyonce’. I thought her last movie “Obsessed” was very good. So why all the hate and anger. Nia has had her share of movies and she is a very good actress. I’m sure she will star in many more. Beyonce’ is on the top of her game right now and she is getting the part. At first black people would complain that the whites are getting all of the parts and now that we are getting the parts you want to complain about who is getting the part. Just give it a rest !
