Well Versed Diversity….Well versed!!!! Thank you for letting ppl know that Michael Jackson is not Jesus and cant get any of us into heaven… I enjoyed Wayne and Drakes performance (minus Regine’ and friends..lol) Its the BET awards and it happens like that every year. Yeah BET is falling off but come on the Awards and Mike’s death jus ran too close to get the best tribute possible by BET and the artists. The ratings were up, ppl enjoyed (most) of the show and Debra Lee got paid thats all that matters!!! RIP Michael Jackson, Still got respect for u

i just think this is ridiculous. NO it wasn’t appropriate for children to dance to this song but it was his daughter & her friends. she probably went to Wayne & was like “daddy, can me & my friends dance on stage when you perform” & he wasn’t thinking “this ain’t appropriate for my daughter to dance to” but all he was thinking was my daughter wants to dance on the stage with her friends so my baby gon dance on the stage! obviously the song wasn’t appropriate but what song would have been appropriate? there is too much going on in this world…people losing their life for us to make a huge deal about a daughter wanting to dance on stage with her friends while her dad performed. GET OVER IT!

I FEEL THAT THE LETTER WAS UNNECESSARY people put more into things than what it really is, no one really knew what his intentions was by letting them appear onstage with them (but thats all that they where doing was appearing on stage.) And no dissrespect to Micheal and God bless his soul but the awards was pre-planned for months and at the very last minute in a weeks time BET took it opon themselves to change up the whole entire show to honor this man which I am sorry but who is no bigger than God! People these days are so ungreatful looking for prefections when there is nothing in this world that can be perfect specially ” live ” without editing in a short period of time. I feel that people should cut them some slack because you did not see MTV nor VH1 jumping to the gun to do anything similar besides show old videos of his that whole weekend, I wish people would just let this man rest in peace instead of worshiping him now that he’s gone because believe it or not that man can not GET ANYONE OF US INTO TO HEAVEN.

I agree with alot of what Mr. Hurt said. The show was not a total disgrace. There were some very good moments, but the Drake, Lil Wayne and Cash Money moment was disrespectful. Young girls including Lil Waynes’s child, should not have been on that stage. Considering the fact that the show was to honor Michael Jackson and what he ment to us as a people, this act could have been left out. I don’t understand how it was thought to be ok. I am not knocking those artists at all, but I’m disappointed in BET.

I compeletly agree. It was one of those performances, you cringed at while watching, I will admit that Drakes opening was perfectly fine it was simple, it wasn’t until Lil wayne and cash money came out that I was disgusted. That song I feel is at times very disrespectful to women, and I was very angry at the fact that he would bring young girls, his own daughter onto the stage. the things that he say’s in his song are offensive and to bring his child up there was wrong. I am pretty positive that he would not want any many doing any of the things he speaks in his song to his child. And I think for someone of such influence in the media and black commuunity BET owed us a better show, and should have ste rules and standerds for its artist. And I felt through the whole awards so that it was not a tribute to Micheal Jackson. I was HIGHLY dissappointed. I know that they had three day to change the whole show, but three days is alot and I feel like they could have done better, I know they could have. I could have!!!! I agree that BET owes and apology to the African American Community, woman and Children and to the Jackson Family. It should have been better.

BET does have the power and the podium to start the change in the way that Blacks are portrayed in the Media but it seems like they are stuck between whats right and the dollar dollar bills ya’ll. Get off the fence BET !

I can’t lie I skipped right over his performance because I knew it would b whack & inappropriate for the MJ tribute.
