OBAMA DELIVERS SPEECH TO STUDENTS, CONSERVATIVES ARE ENRAGED!

The White House said the address, set for Tuesday, and accompanying suggested lesson plans are simply meant to encourage students to study hard and stay in school. Whats wrong with that?

“Thinking about my kids in school having to listen to that just really upsets me,” suburban Colorado mother Shanneen Barron told CNN Denver affiliate KMGH. “I’m an American. They are Americans, and I don’t feel that’s OK. I feel very scared to be in this country with our leadership right now.”
BTW, for the 3rd consecutive time, FOX is the lone broadcast network that has opted out of carrying a
primetime speech from President Obama. Racist Muthersuckers!

Racism still exists
OMG THIS IS FOOLISHNESS!!!!!!I do not understand the response that this is kicking up. There is nothing wrong with what Obama is saying. I went to all white schools growing up and I was the only black child in my classes every year. As far back as I can remember, anytime the president gave a serious address our school shut down, all tv’s were tuned in to listen to what was being said. We incorporated it into that days school lesson and it was okay. You dont want to be racial but……Is it not okay just because he is BLACK??? Our kids, our future needs to stay in school. All kids need to follow thru in education. Of all things this should be the 1 thing we call all agree on.

What really got me was when I saw this white woman on CNN literally crying, CRYING, about President Obama talking to her children. Conservative White Republicans are upset that there is a black man in the white house instead of McCain. They have fought President Obama every step of the way. They Do NOT want anything to change, unless someone who looks like them is leading the way. What happened to being respectful to people in government, even if you don’t agree with what they say or do. Is that not the Christian thing to do?
The sad thing is that if nothing happens during President’s Obama’s term because they wouldn’t let him do anything, they will blame him for it. They muck up everything so bad across the board and now somebody actually wants to do something about it and can’t seem to get anywhere near the goal.
Obama’s speech was positive. I doubt one speech will do any good for the majority, but I think that it was a nice gesture on President Obama’s part to take the time to talk to school-aged children. There was nothing wrong with it and I certainly did not see anything about health care reform or the economy hidden in the speech. Kids don’t care about any of that anyway. Adults do. And if adults were doing their jobs at home, this speech wouldn’t have needed to be said in the first place.
Okay, I’m confused. Why are they upset? Obama is trying to get people to go to school, right? He’s encouraging young adults to not just attend class but to actually listen in class, right? What’s the wrong in that? He’s doing just what presidents before his time did. Encourage more people to get educated. I think their outrage is due to more than the speech he provided. I’ve heard time and time again that Fox was racist. Now that Obama is president we now have evidence.
Its apparent that some folks think President Obama should’ve lost. But who lost during the Columbine School shooting & every school killing after that??? Did Bush or anyone else in authority speak to the kids to make them realize that they are our future?? NO, so I don’t understand, either, why this President is taking the time out to put the children first & being critized over~ The OLD BOYS CLUB & all its members has one problem & one problem only: HIS PIGMENTATION!!
You all hit the nail on the head. My son school let him watch it and he came home and told me about it. It blessed my heart so much! But these are the same idiots screaming education save our children but they cant listen to a president who took the time to address the students in america? Bowl of contradictions!!!! Obama is going to be the president for the next 4+ years so get over it ocnservative america. You dont have to agree with everything he says but you should respect authority and respect the fact that he is our president. Sassy mentioned Columbine did those children respect authority?? You cant ask them because they are dead!!! My point exactly…. Wow.. What year is this? Be blessed and support your president…..
