Jay-Z and Alicia Keys got to perform their hit single, “Empire State of Mind,” before Game 2 of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies in the Bronx on Thursday night. (VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP)
As previously reported, Hov and A. Keys delayed their performance from Wednesday to Thursday due to inclimate weather.

Everyone was saying on twitter how Alicia and Jay-Z killed it last night. I must’ve missed something, cause it was just an ordinary performance to me. (shrugs) Must be a NY thang.
omg..I was at the game at that performance was so tight! There was this elderly white lady and her husband I think…no word of a lie, she knew the words to the WHOLE SONG!. I gave her the side-eye like DAMN, and she was smilin wit me lol.. I’ve never had so much fun. Yankees fans are some crazy ppl, but they kno how to have fun!

I agree with you, Heap. But, I guess we just don’t have that “Empire State of Mind”, to truly be blown away by the performance. LOL!
The performance was normal but ….I love those boots!!!
Okay Its Official Alicia Keys is “FLYIER” than Bey from the fashion to the singing even down to the shape!!!Those boots are Killer!!!!
