   Everyone has a way of expressing their ideas to get the public involved. And I agree w/Tyler – sometimes you have to use a huge women with long breasts to get a message across…and truth be known – I loved Spike Lee’s movies but I was lost on what he was trying to say. With Tyler’s, I always come away w/a sense of God is looking out for us, even in our darkest times.
   They need to colloborate together…each one has something to teach the other.

   That was very insulting for Spike Lee to say. To each his own but clearly Tyler Perry has hit a fan base that proves what he says is worth hearing and watching on the big screen. Don’t hate the player Spike Lee – up your game instead…

   I love Tyler Perry movies i always walk aways with a message….and we all know someone who has a grandma like Madea I will not speak on that cause my Granny stays straps

   I ACTUALLY AGREE WITH SPIKE LEE, NEVER LIKED THOSE CHARACTERS. BUT I GUESS TYLER PERRY HAS FANS.

   I’m on the fence when choosing a side in this one. Tyler Perry’s Madea character and Mr. Brown character are realistic. Just like the crack heads Samuel L. Jackson and Halle Berry played in Spike Lee’s “Jungle Fever”. Tyler Perry plays on stereotypes to have a comical effect and it works.

   On the other hand, all that is harmless when you do it between friends or behind closed doors. When you present these characters to the public it makes naive minds think that every black person is ghetto, uneducated, outrageous and so forth. Therefore, I see where both are coming from.

   What Spike Lee should have spoke on is how Tyler Perry is unable to be original when presenting his stories. He’s a recycle writer. Meaning…all he does is recycle his stories. Each film, each play is the same. Before I watch one of Tyler Perry’s films I know how it’s gonna end and what it’s gonna be about. I’m never surprised, never shocked, and never entertained (until Madea’s crazy ass shows up…love that character).

   I like Tyler Perry movies because some of his characters ring such as madea ring true in my life and remind me of my family. My grandmother recently passed whom we called madea… when I see Tyler Perry’s movies it reminds me of her spirit. Spike Lee just needs to shut his mouth

   Spike lee is just mad that Tyler Perry has reached not only a black fan base but a white fan base as well. Spike Lee has always been negative towards anything that white people has to say or do. Instead of Spike making his films for everybody to get a message out of. Spike likes to make his films only for blacks.

   It’s good entertainment with a message, it’s not that serious. Tyler Perry is putting alot of Black actors to work when other studios won’t even touch them. Get over it Spike. IT’S ENTERTAINMENT.

    I think theres enough dough in hollywood for everybody!!!! Spike needs to come out with something that we want to see and his pockets will look like Tylers again!

    Spike Lee is hating. I love Spikes work as well as Tyler’s. This is why black people can’t come together. We are always hating on each other. This is sad, sad, sad….When will this stop?

    Damn, why do we as black people always want to pull each other down.
    If Spike Lee felt that way, he didn’t have to take it to the media!!!
    That makes me sick.
    We can never have a united front!
    That’s the same thing Angela Bassett did to Haley Berry about her wining her oscar.
    Just be happy for the brother or sister and keep your negative comments to yourself.
