Rihanna broke her silence this morning. In an exclusive interview, music superstar Rihanna sat down with Diane Sawyer revealing publicly for the first time what happened last February with singer and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
“He was definitely my first big love,” she told Sawyer. “The more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for each other.”
The incident resulted in the couple’s seemingly fairytale relationship being shattered and Brown being sentenced to community labor, five years of probation and one year of domestic-violence counseling.

I just feel like she isn’t being sincere with her reasons for speaking out NOW!! Why now? I’ll tell you why because she is dropping an album in what? Like two weeks….yeah you got it.
I am not saying her speaking out won’t help someone woman out there but I am saying I don’t buy it!!
The entire situation was blown up and out and I am over it all!!

Rihanna’s album is coming out November 23rd. I really do think this is a publicity stunt. Why didn’t she speak sooner…Chile please! i’m in the PR world…and i know what this is all about…Album sales. Anywho, like DIVA said above, i don’t condone domestic violence…I feel that they were young and wrong for eachother. we all make mistakes…learn from em’ and MOVE ON!

where was this 8 months ago, rhi rhi? u aint no role model for young women..If she felt she was, she would def not wait so long to come out with her “story”..It is too much of a coincidence that this BS (that we long forgot about), comes out as soon as she has some records to sell. She had months to be “that voice” or that person who ppl look up to, but she only conveniently decides to be “that voice” cuz her album needs it. We don’t hear NOTHING from Rhianna, but yet everyday we see pictures of her with some crazy lookin getup. I would have expected her to do something, like being a motivational speaker and helping men/women deal with abuse..she did none of that because she really doesn’t care. She went back to CB after the altercation because she knew deep down that it was blown out of proportion and that she was most likely the instigator of the whole thing. Before the whole atercation, I read on a few gossip sites that she was slappin on CB..that was totally ignored though..And She didn’t decide to leave him..her ppl decided that it would be better for her image if she stopped associating with him. They also told her that she should adopt an edgy, riskier look, in order to fool the public into thinking that that is how she was dealing with the situation. Also, body language tells a lot, and from watching this video, this just looks like another PR stunt..like she’s jus sayin “shit..I didn’t want to this, but let’s just get over and done with..These artists will do ANYTHING to sell some records **cough **cough Sasha Fake, Gayfish vs. 50..even though I love Nas and would have bought his album regardless, he did it with “Hiphop Is Dead” and “Nigger” album, etc etc..My bad, if some of yall disagree w/ me, but this interview just doesn’t seem genuine to me. I can’t take her seriously right now, because almost a year later, her motives just don’t seem right. She’s doing all this for the wrong reasons…
Sshe is speaking at the right time in my opinion. CD dropping or not if she had spoke earlier that would have been a lot of emotional bullshit. She has now had plenty of time to think and clear her head. Oh yeah and she has a cd dropping at the same time. Business b4 love. Make that money girl!

I was a firm believer from the beginning that rihanna was partly responsible for what happened that night. shes got a temper and i read on other sites that she doesn’t keep her hands to herself. My ideology is if you are going to hit a man, don’t expect that he won’t hit you back.. its a two way street. obviously domestic violence is wrong, but too often we forget that men can be victims too. Atleast Chris is doing a little something good for his community… all rihanna has been doing is sleeping with others womens men and letting her stylist have a field day when she goes shopping. Rihanna, if you wanted to be a role model, you should have spoken out months ago when this was all fresh. Why don’t you squeeze out a few more fake tears… ohh and btw, her new song is garbage, they distorted her voice soo much you wouldn’t even know its her singing(which really is a blessing if you ask me-she gives me a headache)…
