Tyler Perry is being accused of using a gospel song in his TV show “Meet the Browns” without bothering to pay for it. It’s reported that several characters sang the words, “The Devil thought he had me … but I got away,” in a 2009 episode of the show. Songwriter Johnny Tyrone Stringfield claims in his lawsuit that the lyrics came from his song, “I Got Away,” which he copyrighted in 2008.
