Road Manager of the group Outkast passed away due to a drug overdose. Reports say that the former pro-wrestler turned road manager, Chase Tatum, was found dead in his Atlanta home this past Sunday. Tatum, who was only 34 years of age, appeared alongside Big Boi in the 2007 movie “Who’s Your Caddy”. His father told the media that he had a history of abusing painkillers and was scheduled to enter rehab in the near future. At the time of his death, he was recovering from back surgery to repair a degenerative disc and injuries sustained while wrestling. “He was in the process of getting his life back together,” Roy Tatum told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution on Monday (Mar 24). Christopher J. Clanton, who played ‘Savino Bratton’ on HBO’S “The Wire”, was stabbed during a fight that broke out at the Overlea Caterers Inc.’s social hall. According to The Baltimore Sun, police arrived at the scene and had to use pepper spray to calm the crowd down. After everything settled, they discovered Clanton  had been stabbed. The 22 year old actor was rushed to Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he is currently recovering. (more…)

Jennifer Lopez has decided to begin training for a triathlon race to take place later this year. The new mother of twins says “The race will probably be in September/October”.  “I want my babies to be proud of me.” Additionally, the wife of Marc Anthony has flown out celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to help her get “in shape.”

Protégée of Pharrell Williams, Teyana Taylor debuted her video for her first single titled “Google Me”. The song is the first single off  Taylor’s album “From A Planet Called Harlem” which is due to hit shelves May 20th. Peep the video:

Lil Wayne has seeked the help of Kanye West for his new LP entitled “Tha Carter III”. The album is tentatively due in May under Cash Money/Universal. In a recent interview with BBC Radio DJ Semtex, Weezy said that Kanye produced three tracks along with fellow producers, Swizz Beatz, Jim Jonson, and Deezle. “I hope it sells well,” Wayne said of the album. “Meet the Browns” was a big hit in the box office this past weekend. The Tyler Perry produced film grossed a whopping $20 million on 2,000 screenings according Exhibator Relations. The film placed second behind “Dr. Suess Horton Hears a Who!”, which maintained the number spot grossing $25.1 million last weekend. (more…)

Tyler Perry is currently writing a screenplay relative to the life of Michelle Obama, the wife of Barack Obama. According to entertainment writer, Sonya Jenkins’ website, Perry said in an interview that he was inspired by the wife of the Democratic presidential nominee. “I was just inspired by Michelle and Barack Obama to write a new script that is phenomenal,” Perry said. “I’m writing it right now. Just watching him in the debate with Hillary and meeting him and Michelle and having dinner with them inspired this amazing story. “It’s a love story with a little political twist. It’s called, ‘For the Love of You,’ and it’s about Barack’s love for his woman.” (more…)

DMX will star the upcoming film entitled, The Bleeding. The horror/action flick is about a family of vampires. Co-starring with the Yonkers rapper is Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Donnie Brasco, Scary Movie 4), Armand Assante (American Gangster, E.R.), Vinnie Jones (Swordfish, Gone In Sixty Seconds,) Kat Von D (L.A.
