People are struggling to make money in the music industry. Do you have a lot of investments outside of entertainment?

Absolutely. I make more money away from music than I do off of music—well, I was. Shit is terrible right now. Look at the economy in general. General Motors and Chrysler are looking for a bailout. It’s going to be a financial issue if they don’t succeed, though. If they don’t receive the assistance, they will go bankrupt in the next couple of years.

Jay-Z has signed a so-called 360-degree deal with Live Nation that includes a large advance in exchange for pieces of his touring and merchandise. Would you ever sign that type of deal?

I don’t know if I’m willing to do a 360-degree deal at this point. I mean, Jay is in a different space in his career. He may be tired of running around and negotiating each individual deal. The 360 deal would be actually putting that in someone else’s hands to support those outside ventures taking place.

So you wouldn’t feel great about giving up those percentages?

I’m comfortable doing it the way I’ve been doing it. The difference between him [and me] is obvious. He’s married, he’s getting ready to be 40 years old. He’s in a different place, he might not want to run around, and even touring may soon be out of the question. He might want to be in the office and run one of the companies. He’s got enough business sense to do that. He can do whatever he wants.

Who has the best model for staying relevant to fans?

Puffy has the best model for staying relevant, because [he does it] without a song. He’s been able to maintain an interest and stay in a space to executive produce television and film projects, and stay relevant to hip-hop culture. What was the last record that made you feel like, ‘Oh, my God, Puffy is on fire’? You don’t need it. That’s what makes his business model exciting to me. There are only three of us to look at: Jay, [me] and Puff. [We have] three totally different situations. We’ve just been a part of hip-hop culture. That’s the similarity. I still think they’ll be relevant. I just think they’re like the fire hydrant: You can’t move those guys out of the street. I think they’ll [still] be the guys you need to connect with [to] get a shot.

So where will your brand be in the future?

Well, I believe that I will have a stronger position as we move forward. What I have on my side is age. [Laughs] See, in the next five years they’ll be 45 and 44 years old. And I’ll just be close to where they are now…

RiDICKulous! Just when I thought the rivalry was over, 50 Cent takes it to another leve. We hear that 50 Cent has paid Rick Ross’s baby momma to do a porn video which he will release online. 50 plans on premiering the narrated footage sometime later today on BooBooTV.com. Is this chick out of her mind! As you may recall, 50 recruited Rick Ross’s baby momma to help diss the Def Jam MC publically. Accordint to XXL, She is reportedly set to release her memoir, Tia’s Diaries: Deeper Than Rap – a book that 50 is supposed to profit off of – at the same time of Ross’ album of the same name. WOW!

50 Cent told the media his Before I Self Destruct album isn’t coming out before Eminem’s Relapse.

“They should expect Em’s album to come out first,” 50 revealed to radio personality Howard Stern on his show Wednesday (February 25). ” ‘Crack a Bottle’ … that song actually was recorded for my album, and it may make it to Em’s record because his album’s coming first. We might just record something new.”

50 Cent had an interview with The Associated Press Wednesday, and he said that Dr. Dre has been focused on finishing up Slim Shady’s project before knocking out the rest of the tracks for 50’s LP. Self Destruct was originally due on February 3.

“Right now I’m on the train and the Em choo-choo car goes first,” Fif told the AP with his usual humor. “See, what happens is, I think that people forget that I’m actually Eminem’s artist because I’ve had so much success on my own and I moved away from it. But if you can look back, the very first interview I did — we were on the set of ‘In Da Club’ — it was myself, Eminem and Dr. Dre. I said my goal was to fit in with Eminem and Dr. Dre. I didn’t mean to fit in under Eminem and Dr. Dre — I meant to fit in as an equal party. And that’s what I achieved over this time period. So, because Dre is mixing Em’s album, Em will be completed entirely before we get a chance to finish up the pieces me and Dre did together.”

This morning, Em’s manager Paul Rosenberg posted a teaser photo on his blog from the Crack a Bottle” video. He said to expect the clip within the next two weeks.

The Game, who is a long time rival of 50 Cent, weighed in on the battle between 50 and Rick Ross. It’s shocking to say that the Game is siding with 50 Cent this time! In a radio interview with Eddie Francis of Seattle’s Kube 93, Game says “For the first time in four years I’m kind of like low key riding with 50 on this one,” he admitted. “For this first time in four years homey I’m siding with this dude.”

“It’s just ridiculous,” he said of the heated war between the two MCs. “He’s taking your baby mama shopping. She’s trying on Fur Coats with the Stevie Wonder jam…50 eating you boy.”

The Game even offered Rick Ross a helping hand. “Hey yo Ross, homey call me on my phone man,” he pleaded. “This is the first time I talked about this, but yo Rick Ross reach out to my folks and then have him call me on three way so I can get you out of this mess man.”

The Game is on a national tour which kicks on February 18 in Anaheim, CA. He will be making 27 stops throughout the country before closing in New York City on March 21.

Well, of course 50 Cent go word about it. So he did what he does bet, got in the studio and recorded a response record called “Try Me”. 50 Cent says in his verse: “officer Ricky radio for backup, see your ass anywhere you know im going to act up.” 50 continues “screaming Boss, nigga you aint a boss, pussy nigga you lost, listen officer Ross // I’ll tell you straight suck a d*ck, you try come subliminal, because your ass is police, my niggas is criminals”.

It acquired eight scripts at the Sundance Film Festival last week! “They are all different types of movies that I bought the rights to and we’re developing projects. 50 Cen’t reality show on MTV “The Money and the Power” has been cancelled after roughly one month on the air. LOL! The show debuted on November 6th, but will be cancelled due to disappointing ratings says MTV. The show was wack! Don’t you agree? I couldn’t even get through the first episode without flipping the channel.

A couple weeks ago, we told you that Lil Wayne leaked a dissed record aimed at 50 Cent entitled “Louisianimal”. “All about a dollar, f–k Two Quarters. Well, we haven’t really heard any fighting words in response to the record from 50 Cent. During a recent interview on GUnit Video, 50 Cent weighs in on the Lil Wayne fued.

OH…CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!

Just when I thought I could put the fued between 50 Cent and his baby momma over his Long Island home being burned down to rest, another story comes up. During an interview with Access Hollywood’s TV One Access, 50 Cent reveals that his home went up in flames just days after his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins was ordered to leave the house.

“The courts told her she had to leave,” 50 Cent told TV One Access correspondent Quddus. “It’s kind of more like, ‘If I can’t have you, you can’t have it.’” 50 Cent was asked  asked if Tompkins set the fire in response to the order, but he didn’t want to say.

“Well, I don’t want to say that… don’t try to make me say something I don’t want to say,” 50 Cent stated. “But the circumstances to it might seem that way.”

The TV Once Access interview is the latest development in the aftermath of the home’s destruction, which occurred in May.

According to reports, Tompkins and 50 Cent’s son, Marquis, were among the six people taken to a hospital and later released, after suffering smoke inhalation following the incident.

In a lawsuit filed earlier this year against the rapper, Tompkins claimed the rap star had promised her a house more than a decade ago.

A war of words resulted from the suit as Tompkins’ lawyer Paul Catsandonis alluded to an “extremely dangerous incident” between “the parties in question” in his Manhattan office, just days before the fire.

Catsandonis further noted that 50 Cent signed an agreement that would give Tompkins half of all his earnings as a hip-hop superstar.

“Everything that’s his is hers, everything that’s hers is his. He memorialized in an e-mail that he intended to give her the house,” the attorney told the Associated Press.

TV One Access’ interview with 50 Cent is scheduled to air in its entirety at 7 p.m. on January 4.

Soooo..we heard that Young Buck was going to be signing with T.I.’s label, Grand Hustle. As you may recall, 50 Cent gave Young Buck the boot earlier this year because Buck distanced himself from the group. Supposedly Buck said that he wasn’t gettin’ paid for his work. T.I. met up with MTV recently and addressed the rumors about the signing of Young Buck to his label.

“Buck is a personal partner of mine,” T.I. said. “We’ve spoken, about a month or two ago, but we didn’t iron out no particulars. I would definitely be willing to speak to Buck about that, but I haven’t.”

T.I. says further, “That’s why I would have to speak to Buck first,” explained T.I. “I haven’t even begun to deliberate. I haven’t even started the conversation with, ‘What would it take to get you over here.’ That’s just the conversation that’s been floating around the rumor mill. When I spoke to him, it was more, ‘Hey, how you doing?’ speaking as partners. We didn’t speak professionally. Just him making sure I was all right. Him asking me how I’m feeling, me asking the same of him.”
T.I. also said he has his eye on Atlanta’s underrated talent Killer Mike. “I have been speaking to [Killer Mike] about connecting and moving forward professionally together,” T.I. said. “Mike is an outstanding lyricist and phenomenal talent and very intelligent individual. We get along very well. Always have. It’s a real organic fit.”
